Okay out of obligation I'll ask, who's your favorite Xenoblade 3 villain?
Sadly youtube polls only allow 4 options now. I didn't count M since she doesn't feel like a villain.

Alpha because he is the reason why N is so good. Without him there would be essentially no N. Also because of Redeem the Future - Finale

@omgray

N is my favorite but there’s one thing about Shania that I don’t see people talk about much: she brought up a valid point. When she specifically says “at any point, someone can just come along and say ‘okay, time to go!’” She’s advocating for a world where reincarnation, albeit at the cost of the loss of memory of your past life and a short, ten year life span, is confirmed truth and is a better alternative to whatever it is that happens after death in the real world. It’s actually a really deep philosophical position that I think many people would take if Aionios was the real world. There really is some moebius in all of us.

@kroketrendang

Shania is really good but she's mostly written as part of a side quest. N gets a lot of development in both the main game and Future Redeemed.

Shania beat out the final boss.

Shania is an awesome villain and brings so much to the game thematically and I'm willing to die on that hill

I hate Shania so much that sometimes I go back to the affinity chart and look at her greyed out circle

@saltyhoney_

definitely Shania, i kinda hate her but also she's so incredibly real feeling, or just interesting to me. i also think D is an excellent villain

Z is a non-character (which makes sense given his nature) so by default, it’s N. His tragic backstory and the Future Redeemed revelations just make him so much better. Monolith truly love their deep villains. They’ve been doing this since 1998.

Shania is so deliciously boundary pushing. She was the only part of 3 that blew my mind.

@sdtrawick

I'd pick Z over Shania, she's awful.

@roykooper902

N is my favorite, but I really enjoyed Z as well.

@vitilio

I get where they were going with Z and the other Mobius but that doesn't make for memorable villains; but N and a couple of them are cool. N's VA killed it.

Alpha.

Moebius X of course! Shania is a close second.

the end scenes of chapter 5 in xc3 are personally some of the most moving and profound moments in the entire trilogy imo. made N seriously top tier even before future redeemed. the entire game could have used more segments like that. hell, if the game was more willing to let an antagonist take the spotlight (which it was perfect for) he could have been one of my favorite characters in gaming period. it's just so unfortunately uncommon for jrpgs to let you into the shoes of a morally questionable character. jin still takes the cake for me.

@Qwerty10254

Shania. N is interesting but is ultimately just the evil version of your main character, and I've seen that hundreds of times everywhere in games, movies etc.

@darkdragonmedeus705

Alpha if Future Redeemed was included. N if not.

@freewheaties

Alpha, but if we’re just base game it’s gotta be N

@E-C-H-0

N is the best sum of every other villain type in Xenoblade as far as I’m concerned. He starts out like Egil or Malos, an interesting villain you want to understand and know, then he becomes like Mumkhar after everything he does to hurt Noah and the party and you wind up rooting for this punk’s downfall, only for him to make the face turn and become more like Jin, someone you can sympathize with and understand, someone who was beaten down time and time again and just finally had enough.
