both these movies are shit, lets not beat around the bush about that. they're fucking terrible.
BUT, I can (kind of) get the appeal of the first movie and why fans would wanna defend it. as awful and unscary as it was, it does have some pretty cool Easter eggs that do fit the story.
FNAF 2... I dont get it. I dont get it at all. it gets EVERYTHING wrong, on top of being insufferably boring. and im saying that as a former fan of the first 2 games. it's like Scott actively went outta his way to completely BUTCHER the second movie! not only does it NOT stay true to the lore of the second game AT ALL, but it literally QUADRUPLES down on the fuckups of the first movie, making it a painful 104-minute sit. the fuck, Scott?! like for real, I genuinely wanna know what his thought process was here. because I refuse to believe the guy looked at this script - that HE WROTE HIMSELF! - and was like: "yeah, this is perfect! I'm a horror genius!"
I know for a fact that a third movie is gonna get greenlit soon because of how giganticly popular these games are, but after suffering through 2 movies of Scott Cawthon butchering so much potential, im not gonna bother anymore. whenever FNAF 3 gets adapted into a movie, it'll be an IMMEDIATE skip from me. I dont wanna suffer through garbage again. besides, I dont remember even liking the third game either, so that's even more of a reason to skip it entirely.

Scott, get your shit together and just stick to creating games. that's the only thing you're actually good at.
