@Kyoz

Computer science is a huge field. Even if you cut it in half, hardware and software, you will not find many people that have mastered even half. Because both of those halves can be cut into 40 sub categories. Security, networking, database management, system design, api adaption, graphics, information theory, language design, bio-programming, pcb layout with ai assistance, compression, data analysis, autonomous sensor polling, drones, etc, etc... I could go on.

Is this just a school meme with the word "programming" slapped in front?

Programming they expect you to do in work: self driving car

@osakeleto

no matter the subject they will always teach you the bare minimum so they can judge you based on how much you study without being fed information. its an excelent approach, but i still think its unfair to grade students based on specific tasks and knowledge instead of just letting them prove they know by expressing themselves freely. especially when you arent told what theyre testing you for.

@uno_king

Reverse this and you have programming they describe in the job posting, programming they ask you about in the interview, and the programming you actually have to do at work.

Da last one is actually easy its automatic gear For planes.

@formless7000

They teach you the basics in school. To really learn anything you need to take matters in your own hands and make some shit.

@Secret-et5lk

Funny enough for me its the complete opposite we get the hard shit first then exam are way easier 😂 i noticed this and they actually told me that exams are easier then all the tests we had through out those 4 year

@medík12

Or it could be: "What programming teach you in school" "What kids think programmators do" "What programmators actually/need to do"

Exam teachers celebrate as a day of revenge... Why

@panlis6243

Then there is the job interview where it's even more advanced complex shit and then the actual job is even simpler than the first level

@themrfenixagamer

Bueno, no tanto, depende de que tu deseas hacer para tu proyecto de grado, solo tiene que cumplir con la normativa de titulación, eso en mi país claro.

@Mr_ThePlague

If you think college exams are tough wait until you see the programming they actually expect you to do You'll be maintaining code older than you, written in 2 different languages you've never worked in and in 5 design patterns you've never heard of. If they really wanted to prepare you they'd give you the final exam on day one and let you Google your way through it for the semester

@SomKing123

I love manual, it's not hard, people are just lazy and manufactures are killing manuals, because of hybrids and EVs, that are worse for enviroment than cars with combustion engines.

@fraya9

Then to pass the interview they expect you to invent an AI that passes the Turing test on the spot while the job is just occasionally editing some html for a zero security website.

Programming you do in real life: flipping a cat upside down with a forklift

@Fish1601

Well the second one doesnt require any programming, so it cant be too hard

@maxis_scott_engie_maximov_jr

In my school it's the exact opposite on a grade-by-grade basis In the first 2 grades they expect you to remember 5 presentations worth of info on a test, next 2 grades is slightly advanced programming, and now it's just Excel and Python stuff And the exams in 3rd and 4th grade were literally just "Connect cables and make an HTML page"

@MrPink-xv5el

its more like programming they teach you is automatic, programming they expect you to do for homework is manual, what they expect you to do in the exams is a toy car and programming practically in real life is like piloting a helicopter
