iOS 26.1 RC has been out a few days and iOS 26.0.1 has been out over a month. How are they for you? Did the latest update fix any issues or bugs you were having or do you have more issues now? Also, how is battery life after the updates? If you comment below, please include the device you are using and the version you are using on it.

Updating to 26 is easily one of my greatest regrets. I kinda killed my phone with this update. It’s bad, really bad

16 Pro. 18.7. Looking at these comments, I’m glad I haven’t updated. I didn’t because it looks ugly. I may update when the tinted glass comes in main release, only because my pro 3 AirPods aren’t officially supported on 18.7

IOS 26.0.1 on iPhone 17 Pro battery life is worse than my 13 Pro was on IOS 18.7 with 89% life capacity.

iPhone 12 pro became really slow with 26.0.1. My phone doesn’t have smooth feeling anymore. I wouldn’t recommend people to upgrade their iPhone 12 if they didn’t yet. I hope it will get better with new update.

iOS 26.1 RC on my iPhone 15 (95% BH): Battery life has been great on this build! I’m averaging around 7.5 hours of SOT with about 10-15% of battery remaining at the end of the day. By far the best build of iOS 26 yet!

26.1 is much better in every way for me than 26.0.1 on my 17 pro max but my homescreen is lagging like crazy if i swipe between the pages :(

26.1 RC on my 16 Pro and this is how iOS 26 should have been from day 1. Battery is great, 95% of the time a very smooth experience and overall very minor hickups in animations. I think iOS 26 is now on the level of average iOS 18 Performance and we are heading in the right direction, Apple nailed this one. Exited for 26.2 Beta!

iOS 17.7.2 on my iPhone 12 is still okay. Not bad though, there are a few bugs here and there. iPhone storage keeps increasing, how to force and restart my iPhone a few times. iOS 17.7.2 is still stable but I might have to update eventually. But I think about it. Maybe by the end of this year.

I'm still on iOS 26.0.1, but I'll update my phone to iOS 26.1 once it releases to the public next week, but no bugs or issues on my 14 Pro Max

Running ios 26.1 RC on my iphone 17 Pro Max and it is running great. The last three update to the ios 36.1 did not heat up the phone when I update it. Running really smooth.

I’m on iOS 26.0.1 and I have an iPhone 16 Pro. I have been having issues lately with weather and asking for permission. My phone keeps asking if it’s allowed to use my location whenever I open up weather or even messages asks if it’s ok to show people that I have do not disturb on and even calendar asks if it can use my location as well. It’s really annoying

So far so good on iOS 26.1 rc on 16 pro. SOT improvement has been noticed already. Micro stuttering & random heating issues seem to be fixed. A much needed update nevertheless.

iOS 26.0.1 it's frustrating when it gets stuck in the daily tasks/apps(call logs/text messages) on iPhone-17.

Im on 26.1 rc on my 17 pro max and battery has been great much improved coming from iOS 26.0.1 and seems to be more stable and refined. I still can’t get my YouTube notifications to work but other then that its been great. At times I do get hiccups switching between pages on my home screen where it will lock up for a second but then it fixes itself. I hope we see another build or an rc 2 and I notice when using camera in messaging app it will freeze and not work sometimes so that needs to get fixed.

iOS 26.1 RC on my iPhone 16 Pro Max has a lot of micro stutters, when going from home-screen to widget screen. Even resetting the iPhone didn’t solve the issue, so I had to revert back to iOS 26.0.1 !! At least my phone runs smoothly. I hope the stable release doesn’t have this problem and they resolve it.
