My favorite fact of this movie will always be how Bob Hopkins got cast as Mario and didn't know what he was getting into at all prior to filming and regretted the entire thing but still pulled out the best Mario Mario that we will ever be graced with.

I bought a DVD player so I could watch this with my preteen kiddo and he got bored in the first 10 minutes. 😭

I quote this movie still, "Nothing is impossible. Improbable, highly unlikely, but never impossible."

This movie is unironically one of my favorite movies of all time. I've seen it so many times I practically have the entire film memorized.

I still like it as it's own thing tbh. It's like the first super mario land game, really weird and alien, but is interesting in it's own right. That's how I see this movie.

Still love this movie to this day. It’s such a weird trip. Strongly recommend the making of this movie, the stories are crazy lol. Thank god I got the dvd as I dint think it’s available to watch digitally anymore, even prime doesn’t have it

Same. It’s one of my favorite 90’s movies. Also, Bob Hoskins is my favorite actor. Like him in Who Framed Roger Rabbit.😎

This movie was groundbreaking and showed that you can make a movie out of a video game. All star performances all around. Dennis Hopper and Bob Hoskins were nominated for Oscars in this one and John Leguizamo was in Oscars buzz but didn't make a nomination. I am so glad this wasn't lost to that studio fire of 1993.

Dennis Hopper in Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 is comedy gold.

The elevator scene. Nothing better than that...though this outfit swap is pretty funny, too.

I still prefer the animated one from a couple years ago, but this one is entertaining in it's own way. I'd definitely give it a... 7/10 as well.

It's not like that in any of the games but it actually makes sense. Luigi, as the paranoid and fearful one, could plausibly be drawn to conspiracy theories as for some, such theories help rationalize a crazy and chaotic world. Mario, meanwhile, being the calm and practical one, would obviously find it crazy. I could totally see Canon Luigi making up an elaborate conspiracy about Bowser's next terrifying plan that sounds straight out of an Alex Jones parody.

Cookshow with Trevor
Today’s short was inspired by the one and only Mario Bros movie from 1993, where they chose to make Luigi a wild conspiracy theorist and Mario a grizzled skeptic. Was it the best movie? Well it sure was a creative interpretation, and still my favorite Mario movie to this day. Dennis Hopper reprises his roll as the villain of every movie he’s in. If I were to rate it on IMDB it’d get 7 stars.
