Now that we've seen the content of the next Drop "Mounts of Mayhem" it might seem a bit underwhelming for some people.
What are some Features you would've wanted to see as part of this Drop?

@lorenzobarbano

Since they said this will be a transportation update, maybe they will finalise the minecart updates and put them in the drop

@knecks7374

actually I was ready to be disappointed even more, but was pleasantly surprised that I wasnt as bummed. Like, Nautilus, Zombie-horse-zombie-jouster-guy, nautilus-drowned-trident-guy, I liked these. And not even talking about how convenient underwater travel and building is now going to be. One thing I absolutely would have loved is one or more new underwater biomes. One thing I would love that may still happen is Spear specific enchants.

@KaydoorTheDoor

The main things I wanna see rn is Enchantments for the Spear and a underwater music disc (one youd find in shipwrecks or ruins)

@Polopytek

I really wanted to see deeper oceans.

Usually they show us something and then give more during the development of the update. So while I am a bit in the middle right now, I wait to see if they will surprise us.

I wanted another underwater structure like a deep sea ancient city and have zombified nautilus swarming it. Because of how open the layout is it's easy to maneuver here on a nautilus unlike in a monument where most likely you'll suffocate. Loot could have been a spear head, like the heavy core, but it seems they wanted everyone to have it.

I know it’s ambitious but an overhaul on ocean generation would be insanely cool! Imagine deeper oceans with new biomed

I think cool unique enchantments for the spear would be cool. Like 'Reach' obviously extending your reach. Charge, for extra damage. I think a cool mini biome where the nautilus have a 100% chance to spawn. It would be deeper down and have good loot. I don't know if Nautilus are hostile but I think it would be cool if they were protecting something.... The heart of the sea. And you would have to kill a dozen or so nautilus to obtain it. But, if you already have a nautilus the other nautilus would only be hostile if you took the heart of the sea first. The heart of the sea is in the centre of the biome in a chest surrounded by a dome of metal bars so you can't just dip in and dip out. Or it could be surrounded by zombie nautilus but you wouldn't be able to get in normally with a nautilus I guess. But honestly, I think I cooked.

> Waxed redstone that can be placed underwater without breaking. > An underwater structure specifically designed to be explored using the Nautilus. This structure could work really well with waxed redstone and new underwater 'tripwires' to make underwater structures uniquely challenging. > Doesn't even need to be a structure per se, If my waxed redstone idea is too OP then they could add an underwater biome of sorts which is designed to be explored while riding the Nautilus. > A real underwater threat to make something like Netherite Nautilus armour actually needed - I doubt just trident-yielding drowned is enough to justify that level of armour. Guardians use 'magic' which hurts players & mobs through armour anyway, so I'm pretty sure the only underwater threat that armour can actually protect against is the Drowned. > a new underwater plant, a kind of combination of kelp and glowberries, which glows to give ocean more light and life. > Spears are great, but a huge missed opportunity in not allowing them to be thrown. Imagine being able to fire spears from dispensers to give a much more powerful, albeit expensive, alternative to arrows. > The game needs new 'tutorial structures'. Ruined portals are a great way of hinting to new players that you can access the nether. Before they were added the only way a player would have known how to get to the nether would be by finding out online. The ruined portals can spawn with all the materials to get there, with the portal layout shown in the structure and a provided chest with the remaining obsidian or flint & steel/firecharges - The chests can also contain gold armour to hint its use to players in being passive to piglins. Most players have never made a conduit, so this update is the perfect opportunity to add ruined conduit structures underwater. Adding on to the above, I think Mojang has missed huge opportunities to add transportation buffs in both this drop, and The Copper Age. The Copper Age was a perfect opportunity to add Copper Rails which could be a much faster (but expensive) way of transporting on rail, and this update missed an opportunity to make water travel faster. Nautilus' are a new method of travel *underwater*, but I haven't seen anything to suggest it would be faster than a boat & dolphin. I just really want other middle-late game travel methods that actually compete with the elytra. These drops are good at giving much more regular new content, and allowing the content released throughout the year to differ massively. That said, Mojang has a habit of visiting a feature and then neglecting it again for years. The Nether Update introduced nether biomes, and that opened a huge opportunity for Mojang to continue expanding the nether and adding new biomes over time like they do for the overworld - yet since the nether update the dimension has gone almost entirely untouched. I guess this is a bit off topic, but these drops are a perfect opportunity for Mojang to revisit other dimensions of the game aside from just the overworld. I would love to see a new nether biome in an upcoming drop. They did it for The Garden Awakens, so I don't think 1 new nether biome for a drop is too much to ask for.

@hipersaturated_toby_fox

•Netherite spears crafted like any other netherite equipment Gold apears are lighter than iron •if iron, gold or diamnod tiers, needs strings at the crafting recipe •Spears can't charge with elytras or while falling (maybe) •Enchantments to the spears (impaling, sharpness (incompatible with impaling), Lightness (makes it take longer to lower it Levels 1-4), channeling (only works while charging), looting, breach, riptide (insted of lower the spear, it makes you/your mount the speed of a riptide trident) •Nautilus awake some ahh ability when within a conduit radius •If spawned with a spear, zombies can convert horses to zombie horses to ride it •If killed by axolotls, nautilus drop their shell •Prismarine nautilus armor •Nautilus have different textures depending of the biome temperature (cold ocean, frozen ocean/ocean, deep ocean/lukewarm ocean, warm ocean) •Zombie horses can be ride if the zombie rider is killed •Etc, etc, etc...

@fuumdium

I finished a game called Herdling a little while ago, an amazing experience (while admittedly there isn’t a lot of gameplay, it goes down the Journey style of game so I don’t think the lack of gameplay detracted in any way), now I haven’t played Minecraft in a while but since playing that game I’d really love to see some open world, nomadic type game where I can tend to and herd a small group of creatures of some kind (with a preference on non-standard creatures since I think if it were just normal animals it’d be a bit boring) so I’d love to see Minecraft implement some form of this, even something as simple as dog controls via goat horns or something of that nature, to make moving passive mobs around easier, and with this mounts update, it stands to reason that having some kind of travel kit (as in a tent like structure) to bring with you could’ve been cool, and if you paired that with some form of block, or dog control or some other item that meant animals that weren’t caged would stay in a certain vicinity, would mean you could essentially pack a bag of essential items, mount up, bring a dog and some animals and head for longer trips away from a main home, or go down the more nomadic route

@CovilDoDragao09

1: Deeper Ocean 2: Netherite Horse Armor (since nautilus have Netherite armor) 3: Spear enchantment 4: More dificult crafting for spear (since it's arguably too easy to mass damage someone whit it) 5: Husk riding Camels 6: Zombie Horses can be ridded in bedrock edition

@Rauga-ps5nf

So if you brush the nautilus we get nautilus shells also spear enchantments like increasing damage will be good , so next for happy ghast will be good if they add a dash similar to nautilus.also nautilus has to be more fast or it will be kinda boring.also faster minecarts so it will be useful, it will be more great if they add a new underwater structure which has new mini boss as barnacle so, they can change the barnacle attacks as if it comes to close range it will bite you and lose 4 hearts, for long range it will shoot toxic ink which cause 9 sec blindness,10 sec poison so this all will be good together for an solid update,it's disappointing that the drop is so small after all at least we have spear

@SkeleShitter2026

I don' think minecraft really need that much of an update I hope they are slowly cooking something really big for an end obviously I really want them to somehow change the enchantments and make minecarts faster Maybe focus on something small instead like compass for example, idk, village locator maybe?

@priam2882

Wooden spears for throwing. They do a little less damage than the trident throw but fly faster and have a very weak melee, they also have a puncture mechanic for when they hit something there's a chance they get lodged into the mob and decrease its movement speed
