less is always more when recording cuz you got multitracks. somebody playing guitar in their bedroom is always gonna play the chord that sounds fullest in the moment i feel like. that's why it's useful to record a demo when you have a song idea because the studio will force you to work by subtraction if you're actually trying to make a good song. from my experience
