ADHDVision

Quick question for all of my chaotic brains: do you prefer more editing or less editing on youtube videos?

Currently trying to decide how we'll edit our next youtube videos - your feedback would be a big help!

I don't know what I prefer 😂

Now that's a paralysing question to ask someone with ADHD lol So I physically cannot give you a "Lots" / "Minimal" answer because it depends entirely on the video you're creating. You make great content which has a minimalist style, but you also make great content which has more complexity to it and needs more editing to bring out the quality in it. There's no one size fits all to this question.

@ivydancer221

I hate when there are constant cuts , like after every sentence.

@Asheanae

Constant cuts is a sensory nightmare. Same with machine gun subtitles flashing each individual word.

For me personally, a single person describing or presenting an idea can be super edited as long as the idea is represented properly. For conversations or discussions between multiple people, I prefer no edits because there are a whole lot of nuances to conversation that I don’t want to miss.

[Sorry for my English] I prefer it when you give value very fast in the video. It incentivizes me to watch all the way through but on the vids where the "reward" is too delayed like when the intro is too long. In those videos, I enjoy the editing and you may have a lot of worthwhile info but there is too much resistance to value. It's just that or all else is very good.

Jump editing is way too overstimilating for my brain to process. The consistent buzz of words enrages my misophonia. Natural pauses are good.

@ClaireBear-77

No editing. My brain automatically edits. 😂

I see a video with cut every two seconds, filled with stock footage and AI illustrations = instant unsub.

@lucycloverlincoln111

It depends on the content

@SteveDeMentPhotography

Depends on the content and what you mean by editing. Like are you taking color grading, transitions, music, sound effects? Or are you talking less dead air, making more segments, having more cuts, and adjusting sound quality?
