Some strong considerations for my reads for next year’s Manifest Destiny, a Readathon being started by @BookZealots: 1) “A Quiet Will: the Life of Clara Barton”, written by her relative, William E. Barton 2) “An American Doctor’s Odyssey”, autobiography/memoir written by Victor Heiser, MD, who survived the Johnstown Flood as a teenager 3)”The Greater Journey: Americans in Paris”, written by David McCullough (fits just about perfectly into the 1837-1901 time frame)
That’s it to start; I’ll no doubt add more as I go on.
