I like it. I wish they had an old fashioned timer control rather than the electronic circuit board but I love they are building quality to last decades. I do a lot of home upgrades on people's houses through a government program and I am disgusted how low quality and unreliable the new appliances are from once-reliable major brands like GE and Whirlpool etc. The stuff is DOA way too often. I hope the tariffs bring quality products back to our stores not just more expensive versions of the same stuff we've been getting for the last 10 years.

Can't speak to the TC-5 in black, but the one we just bought in traditional white is running like a champ. Runs a load of laundry in a third of the time as our departed 4 year old Maytag did. And, it gets the clothes much cleaner.

I think it’s neat that they are releasing the TC-5 in black-gives it a unique look and twist!

I've never seen black or super dark gray finishes ever hold up

I noticed that speed queen changed the dryer timer switch on this model. My dryer is a year older and the timer switch is a cheap pos. I had service come out for the washer and he said he gets lots of negative comments about the dryer switch. Honestly, at this point I’m not sure I would have bought this set. For the money I could have bought or repaired the older Kenmore washer and dryer. Finale though, for the money if you can rehab your older Kenmore washer and dryer do that. Don’t buy speed queen!

Great I guess but I'd rather see a larger capacity version of their washers and dryers.

Steam in dc5 is perfect timing! I was about to buy digital, wouldn’t have matched my tc5 right… ❤️

I just bought a new set and the only reason I didn't get a speed Queen was the small basket size. I regularly have to wash comforters so it was a deal breaker for me. Would have rather seen them up size the basket rather than adding steam and a new color

Steam is one of the greatest sales tools. It's completely useless but a great sales tool.

A change to the basic white as a option is a nice change but I wish more appliance companies had more color options it feels like everything is just stainless white and black what happened to appliances having crazy colors like greens and blues it’s just like cars nowadays the colors are so boring

This truly sucks I’ve only had my speed queen for about five years so here in about 20 years. I’ll be ready for a new one. Hopefully I’ll definitely get these. These look nice.

I love the black however I have zero need for that steam function. Just another complication.

Color doesn't clean your clothes. I think they should keep the electronics out of them. Keep true to what speed Queen was built on. To hell with the technologies that are coming out with other failed appliances. Stay true, stay true...
