Imo whereas there are exceptions, the improvement in fidelity is far more easily accessed with digital than vinyl. Access for a comparable vinyl experience is considerably more expensive when you consider the addition of cartridges capable of the level of fidelity you can achieve with real world digital playback. But that is only fidelity. It is perhaps true the differences become much smaller at the top end of either format. All that said, I love my turntable.

I am more immersed with spinning plates (Vinyl, that is!) as opposed to digital. Nothing against the digital and streaming formats, but they don't hold my attention for very long in terms of sound quality and convenience.
