Is it a good idea for AEW to run stadium shows in 2025?

If they can fill a stadium; go for it. What they need to shrink are the venues they go to for Dynamite.

I don't see why not. Their PPVs draw pretty decently and they've got a year to build to it. Should be fine

Well it depends on how many tickets they just give away. You can make a stadium look packed but did they actually make it profitable would be a main question. A Baseball stadium with like 40k seats isn’t impossible I guess but it depends on the card. I wouldn’t say it makes sense but the business model for AEW doesn’t make sense since it doesn’t need to so it really doesn’t matter.

Yes and they'll do just fine. Next question please.

I think AEW should do more shows in Europe or outside the US in general. The US market is already over saturated. AEW did good numbers in Canada, so why not start there.

Only if that stadium was built with REAL GLASS-! in the windows.

I already know any poll made in this channel is NOT going to have a result that isn't negative towards AEW.

I think this will be one of those break from the norm type of shows for AEW. There will be a crowdfunding effect that will make it big, and it’s the right size stadium for them. It’s not AT&T stadium, and it’s not the old ballpark park next door. There’s 40k seats and a huge chunk of that is close to home plate. You’ll have a good view of the action even from the cheap seats. I think they should cut a few PPV’s from the schedule before that show. Don’t do Forbidden Door a couple weeks before it, keep it for the Tokyo Dome weekend. Keep Revolution and Double or Nothing and scrap the other events and people will travel in for it. Don’t exhaust your markets with small unimportant shows within a hundred miles of each other.

AEW has been struggling with Attendance, however it is there first stadium show in the USA so I guess it will sell well enough. 40k stadium plus seats minus huge stage, I guess they will be hoping for about 35k

I like to root for the underdog so hopefully they can pull this off.. they pulled it off at Wembley and other locations.. in regards to Dynamite they need to lower the prices for events in the middle of the week. I'd rather have a full house of people who bought cheap tickets... Then a half empty arena because optics and perception is everything... If people see a full house they will think subconscious that it's a hot product... Side note the wrestling is fine they need to work on story telling and back story for the wrestlers even the low tier guys and girls... To make people care about them to see them

They need to run smaller venues for Dynamite so that these Premium events feel more special. I'm sure they can draw a crowd though for this first ever event.

They really should be running venues that seat between 3500-7000 those are in just about every major market and alot of smaller cities as well. Save a stadium for All In or All Out.

Hell no! The buildings they have are 1/2 empty! All In Wembley I was a novelty act that cannot be repeated, they will only get 40-50,000 the 2nd time in a 90,000 seat stadium. Similarly, in Dallas, they will only get 20,000 for a 40,000 seat stadium.

@jayfabe620

35k is about what that place will hold seated. Realistic goal.

Ppl who said no just want it to die. Monopoly in wrestling is awful

I’m an aew fan and I for a fact know there are venues in the states that don’t see aew as a draw. Maybe it’s different in the uk and if so go for it. But they really need to get interesting fast

As someone who’s considering going (I’ve been to 10 AEW shows including 2 PPVs) I’m struggling to find what they could offer card wise with the current roster to make me want to commit to the road trip, tickets, and hotel. Obviously they have about a year to put this card together but I just don’t know how well this will do. It’s also a pretty big building.

If they stack the right card, they can draw

Wembley is half full this year, it will be a quarter full if they go again next year, any stadium in the US will perform even worse due to overexposure to the other shows. They absolutely shouldn't go to stadiums at least for year, more if they don't fix the booking
