The Pink Pill

How many, MANY times will we realize that these make-shift Great Value Discount familial arrangements don't work? Sis you had the world in front of you but you thought you having a baby out of season wouldn't end in the way the it does for most of us. Ladies, stop thinking you're the special one. Get to know that man, make sure he is a quality partner, and get married for heaven's sake. I'm tired of this always ending up the way it does 100% of the time and then we act perpetually surprised.

I will NEVER forget her standing ten toes down in the beginning of their relationship when he was disrespecting her.

@MsCruzan

If you are not ready to get married, you are not ready to have a child. A child is a lifetime commitment with someone and shouldn’t be taken so lightly.

Say what needs to be said Chris!!!!! My heart sinks every time I hear a young Black female celebrity (esp. a talented one) get pregnant. It's usually by a dusty man, and they end up embarrassing her. As a single mom to a 15 year old, best thing I've done is level up and pray to set an example for my daughter to not repeat my mistake!

Out of season is so accurate! I was like ok she wants to be a Mother but Either she needs to not be with anyone if she’s anti birth control or be on some form of contraception because your OLDER sister isn’t even moving on your time

CK you know me and I am an older woman. I saw this happening when I was coming up and we all saw the results. Young women today have all the information they need to make better decisions yet they still move like the previous generation of women. Why god, why??

Can we teach our sons not to act this like? The fact that his family knew he did this and said nothing speaks volumes on what we let them get away with.

I am her age and was like this has to be a Joke when she started “dating” him, especially since I don’t follow DDG but I knew he was questionable… before she had the baby I went to his channel and saw he released a Song/Music Video called “it’s ok to be a Hoe”…. Halle is FOREVER Strange for her Choices irregardless of her talent… her current situation was foreseeable

BW were begging her not to stay with this guy, so if anyone is surprised it's not the public... The stereotype lives on. Sad thing is, not being a stereotype is harder done than it is said, cycles are incredibly hard to break & sometimes you just don't know who's advice is coming from a place of love & who's advice is coming from the spirit of opposition. & as a viewer it's hard to comment gracefully while also trying to be honest. Idk, best wishes to her. At least she's in a lucritive industry, she seems to have amazing connections career-wise & that makes a massive difference when navigating personal hardships, because having the necessities of life & the luxuries on top of that is so important.

It's so common, it's sickening. Another bites the dust. It just keeps happening. it doesn't matter it you have money or not. Guess what... they'll be back together again.

Definitely agree with having a baby off season. She should have been flying higher after “The Little Mermaid” but got side tracked with a pregnancy, then baby. I don’t think they got married, which is a blessing in disguise though. Makes things just a little bit easier for her.

From day 1, we were telling her to avoid him. He was also aware of the general criticism of their relationship. It was constant. I wonder if Halle ever looks back and sees how her choices stalled her career progression. She was literally the next 'It' girl and had all the best opportunities, but decided to involve this man who only wanted to leech and sabotage her. I wonder if she ever reflects on that?

Agreed!! I believe Hallie lacks foresight and judgment. Stevie Wonder could have seen this coming. Its so ridiculous and absurd, yet many of us still don't learn!!

The world could look at them two and see he was not a good choice for her. His ego could never handle a woman like her. They put so much energy into trying to prove the public wrong that now they are proving everyone right and their situation turned into the worst case scenario. Ew. I know she is shaking her head at herself.

It’s crazy how this case is someone thinking they’re the “special one” to change a guy steeped in an anti-family culture, but then ALSO not special enough (as a child of God) to deserve and receive better for oneself AND one’s child. Makes my heart weep.

Sometimes I wish actors would be more like the characters they play😭 Because the young woman that Halle played in Grownish would have grown up, gained success ,became more savage and would have NEVER!
