Who Is The Elect?

Did you know that God choose you. You did not choose him?

God alone decides who will be His. He chooses who will see, who will hear, and who will receive the revelation of His truth. Salvation is not earned by intellect, emotion, or human choice. It is a divine act of mercy from a sovereign and holy God. This truth cuts deep because it shatters human pride. It exposes every illusion of control and reminds us that we contribute nothing to our redemption except the sin that made it necessary. Jesus spoke plainly in John 15, “You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit.” The power to come to Christ, to believe, to obey and to persevere all begins with God’s choosing. The world celebrates independence and self determination, but the Word reveals a far different reality. God is the One who calls, God is the One who opens the eyes of the blind and God is the One who reveals Himself to whom He wills.

Folks pause for a moment and ask yourself, why can I see what others cannot? Why can I see the truth while others mock and scoff? Jesus answered this in John 6, “No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him.” That means salvation is not a human decision made at convenience. It is a supernatural drawing by the Father. Romans 9 confronts our pride again, “It does not depend on human desire or effort, but on God’s mercy.” The Spirit must awaken the dead heart. The Father must open blind eyes. The Son must redeem. Salvation is not a self help moment. It is resurrection. Ezekiel 36 describes it perfectly, “I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you.” God moves first, and man responds. Without that divine initiative, no one would come.

Understand folks that even the ability to understand Scripture is a gift given only to those whom God has chosen. In Matthew 13, Jesus said, “To you it has been given to know the secrets of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been given.” These words reveal a painful truth. Not everyone belongs to Him. Jesus said in John 10, “You do not believe because you are not of My sheep. My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.” Many fill church pews and profess faith with their lips, yet remain deaf to the Shepherd’s call because they were never His. They quote verses they do not truly understand, for as 1 Corinthians 2 explains, “The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them because they are spiritually discerned.” Let this truth pierce your heart. Belonging to Christ is not about attendance, knowledge, or upbringing. It is about divine election and spiritual rebirth. Only those whom the Father has drawn, the Spirit has awakened, and the Son has redeemed will ever truly see, hear, and follow Him.

Bottom line, if you're able to understand this truth be thankful that you can. Many reading this will not be able to. If this resonates with you, fall on your face and give God all the glory and thanks for His mercy.

Love you all,
Christopher

I prayed for my Momma endlessly for her salvation. She wouldn't budge and when "I" did things to try and save her she would shriek. A couple of months ago when it was clear she wasn't going to make it though her battle I gave it to God and said Your Will be done. If she isn't yours I know you know what's best. She died 2 months ago and literally came to Him like the thief on the cross. The Lord was showing that we can't save anyone. We can toss seeds and pray for God to give the increase. There really is a supernatural peace in it that I can't describe. I Praise Him for teaching me that painful lesson. I tried so hard but it is only Him who can do anything. He is sovereign over all people and all things. All Glory to God 🙌

Thankyou! This gave me God bumps cuz I'm a baby Christian and became a born again believer on 7-6-25. Rebaptised in Jesus Name by the coolest pastor at a tiny lil Apostolic church here in Louisville KY. I love my church and I feel the Holy Spirit every time I enter! I read my Bible everyday and try to study it. I'm a stroke survivor and it's hard sometimes for me to understand but I find if I pray for the Holy Spirit to lead and guide me and pray for wisdom and understanding...then I always end up knowing what the message is. It's so strange cuz I never did any of this before in fact I thought the Bible was pretty foreign and hard to understand. The Lord is revealing things to me lil by lil and it's so cool cuz I recognize it when it happens! I'm so in awe of the Lord and his wonderful ways! One thing I know with all certainty is if He can save a broken low down recovering alcoholic addict wretch like me then anything is possible! Honestly I questioned all of this in the beginning cuz I felt so unworthy! So thankyou again for sharing this. You helped me more than you know and I Understand The Message!

@Intrinsically_Speaking

This also speaks to not having our salvation in our own strength for it is Him who chose and carries us. ❤

Very true…. I tell people that all the time that we don’t even have the capacity to choose God on our own. It’s only once he taps us on the shoulder or the Holy Spirit whispers in our ear and then we start to resonate with Truth and that resonance is so strong all you can do is respect the truth, and truth comes love, and with love comes Jesus….

I’ve pondered this for years and I’m sooooo grateful. When I go through tests he is always there to help. I’ve experienced God’s grace, loving kindness and he’s rescued me many times. Too numerous to count. He’s sooo patient. I love him and worship his holy name now and forevermore. God bless you

We have a choice. Why i can say this. Because God gave me one. He knows the choices we will make. But they are ours to make. Otherwise free will does not exist. He gave me.an ultimatum about 15 years ago. Glad i said yes.

This is the only truth I’ve seen Chris write. How can one get this so right and everything else so wrong?

One Lord, One Faith, One Baptism... Many are called but few are chosen. The mysteries of faith are not revealed to those who have not humbled themselves to a state of childlike dependence. The real presence of Our Lord in the Holy Eucharist and Our Blessed Mother Marys role in the Kingdom of God are two examples of the mysteries of faith that are clear to those who have eyes to see. Many who claimed to be scholars and theologians miss the deeper mysteries of faith because they lean on their own understanding and refuse to humble themselves. Let thy will be done! The scribes and pharasees interrupted scripture and leaned on their own understanding and missed the word that became flesh and dwelt among us Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Its never revealed by ones own strength (repetition) or doing. I can do all things in Christ who strengthens me. Lean not on your own understanding. Man does not go to church to sit in a pew on his own doing, man is called to the church to sit/kneel in the pews by Our Father (Abba) to love and adore Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. If it was mans doing than he would be no where near the church as man can doing nothing on their own. The tabernacle is open in most churches for adoration, however, few humble themselves to the true presence of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in the Holy Eucharist.

Many are called (gentile) few are chosen (jew). We choose Christ unless you're Hebrew.

So everyday do I choose to pickup my cross or is that choice done for me? All choices of who to serve and worship is mine except for the first one which was not. These types of things are only helpful to point out extremes. If you’re not an extreme they can often cause more damage and religious points than actual fruit.

Excellent & so helpful! Is there any way to get a printable copy of this ? Or a location where it can by copy/pasted & printe. I really need this teaching to encourage some people I know, but also myself! The attacks against our confidence of 'belonging" to Christs Body are constant & cruel. I see this format can't be copied & pasted or printed. Please let me know how I can get a printed copy of this document. Thanks & blessings in Christ!

Revelation chapter 22. The "Leaves from the Tree of Life" will go out with the Father's Family Government healing the nations. We are training to share that Family Throne with Jesus Christ. You left off the exciting part.
