Albert King

A special reissue of Albert King’s BORN UNDER A BAD SIGN is coming to vinyl, SACD, and hi-res digital on April 21! ♠️🃏♦️ In honor of King’s centennial year, ‪@CraftRecordings‬ and ‪@Staxrecords‬ are proud to share this newly-remastered edition of his legendary 1967 Stax debut.

Alongside Stax’s own Booker T. & The M.G.’s and members of The Memphis Horns, the “King of the Blues” delivered such classic tunes as “Laundromat Blues,” “Oh Pretty Woman,” and “Crosscut Saw,” not to mention the iconic title track, which has since been inducted into the GRAMMY Hall of Fame, the Blues Hall of Fame, and added to the Library of Congress’ National Recording Registry.

The LP is pressed on 180-gram vinyl and features lacquers cut from the original stereo tapes by Jeff Powell at Take Out Vinyl, while the hi-res digital and SACD formats feature audio mastered from the original tapes by Kevin Gray at Cohearent Audio.

SACDs are exclusive to StaxRecords.com and CraftRecordings.com. Pre-order everything here: found.ee/AlbertKingBadSign
