I used to tell people when Barack Obama became president I was happy, but my life didn’t personally change, because I grew up with a powerful black man in the home. That man was my father. Dad, you are the hardest working man I know. The protector of our family. The reason I love Canton Spirituals and Johnnie Taylor. If the American Dream rewards the man that works hard, employees the overlooked and underpaid , and honors the commitment to love their wife (48 years) and children then Dad you should be the first recipient.
