THANK YOU Dewayne - keep it up, there are many of us "Mossy Headed Knot Heads" that need to hear what you are saying and how you are saying it!!! I am going through redemption (have been/will be), and I had to do a lot of the same questioning that Dewayne discusses. I'm learning the simple truths, I'm learning what my relationship with God is, I'm learning to stay responsible before Him via my prayer habits, I'm learning that "praying at Him" is much different than "Praying to Him with my free will being sacrificed to Him to ensure His Will comes before mine (that is very hard for me to grasp sometimes...but 'faith and grace' is what carries me here as I seek understanding..), and I am learning to be His child instead of worldly. Dewayne (and others like him) that provide clear and simple perspectives and discussion is exactly what my searching mind needs right now. I seek, want, and need truth - not dogma or traditions. I seek to be a man that can confidently tell my fellow man about the gospel of Jesus - At times, straight talk like this helps more that 10 Sunday's in church. Thank you Dewayne for helping a total stranger you'll most likely never meet.

May I gently, respectfully and cheerfully address a talking point currently going on in the comments on this channel? A fireman does not show up at your house when there is no fire, knock on the door and give you a thumbs up and tell you that there is no fire. It is not a fireman‘s job to go round drumming up any positivity when there’s not a problem. A fireman‘s job is to put out fires. The only time you’ll see a fireman working is if there is a fire or a wreck or a disaster. There is a misconception today that is a preacher’s job to be equally positive and negative. That is not scripture. There are certain preachers who are called to be fireman. Their job is to point out fires. Their job is not to go around giving kudos and high-fives just to have something to do and something to say when everything is positive and good. It is to warn that the bridge is out ahead. Do not confuse a preacher with a cheerleader. I am not your cheerleader. I am a teacher and a spiritual fireman. That’s my job, and that’s what I do.
