Wow 🎉 ONE MILLION subs…

You know, when I first got my 100k silver play button, I thought, “I’ll never get another one since the next one is at 1 mil.” One mil felt completely unrealistic…

So THANK YOU for watching and sharing and commenting and supporting me 🙏 Whether you’re new or have been with me since the OG days (aka. before I got a perm).

I want to give more value back to YOU, as a thank you. So to celebrate, I’ve planned a 1 mil special LIVE workshop, hosted here on YouTube 🎉

(…BUT I didn’t expect to hit 1 mil for another month, so it’s coming in MARCH - stay tuned!)

When I started YouTube 4 years ago (stuck in my room during COVID), no one was seriously talking about learning science. I just thought there’s some stuff I figured out over the years that I think other people would find useful…

To think my videos have been viewed over 50 million times now… That’s double the number of sheep in NZ 😯 (and we have a LOT of sheep).

Thank you all again, and thank you to my team behind the scenes who made my “unrealistic” goal of 1 mil a reality.

And for those of you who actually read this entire post, I’d love to know what your favourite video is and what made you click subscribe!

P.S. I only had to drive 15 minutes from my house to find these sheep 🐑

@r.khammud

I'm from Ukraine, and your videos have been incredibly helpful to me. My schooling was interrupted when a full-scale war broke out, and my city was occupied. Despite the challenges, I continued to study on my own, though it was often difficult. I've been watching your videos for a couple of years, and during this time, I've gained confidence in my ability to learn anything—as long as I put in the effort. I owe it all to you♥️♥️♥️

Man, congratulations Dr. Justin! One of my favorite videos was definitely the 40 minute video of you calling out spaced repetition/active recall for what its actually for; as i watched that video, I was 100% over-relying on flashcards and i am so grateful your videos guided me out of that mess. Thanks again and congrats! P.S. A lot of people, including myself, really enjoy the long 1 hour content of getting into the raw science behind learning, so please keep it up!🎉

I'm South African. My favorite video is one of the first I watched. When you explained why active recall only, isn't efficient. You addressed exactly what I was worried about, and opened my mind to so many new things. Thank you so much Justin. God bless you

ASI I grow older, I can’t memorize as much when I learn. My brains store so many information. This video is really helpful.

Your videos breaking down how studying works in the PERRIO system, and being able to find digestible videos/shorts on each step have been a massive game-changer in me learning how to learn!

These videos are the reason I was able to pull my self out of the undergrad trenches and also manage to get into honours today, which a year ago, from where I was, felt like I shot in the dark. After I complete my post grad in October and start work, the first purchase I will make will be the year program to guide me through my goal of writing and passing all CFA levels.

Which video was the most standout... well, that's difficult to say, due to the extremely valuable: work, expertise and rigorous professionalism you've regularly, creatively demonstrated over the years--it's been, just profound Justin. Seriously, your breadth of cataloged work, is powerful my friend. *Personal impactful favorites, perhaps... Mind map tutorial(s); The 1, most beneficial productivity framework (breakdown); How the several learning/studying techniques that make the greatest impact, should be used (and, preferably in the right order)....
