Now I have officially hearted, and most likely responded to every comment on all of my videos (as of the time I post this comment). I have likely thanked everyone individually by now, but I really do appreciate ANYONE that stopped by my channel, videos, post, or livestreams and gave me some of your time. It was nice hanging out with you all. If you are curious what my current mindest is about Asuka, check my most recent community post, I made a new one yesterday.

Really sad to see you go, I enjoyed watching you play Asuka and you were one of the few people who motivated me and boosted my confidence to play Strive more even though I still suck :(

your asuka clips gave me the motivation to try him out and learn him, eventually cementing him as my secondary and as probably one of my favorite designed character of all time. I can't thank you enough for that. hope you enjoy your break.

It’s been a good run, having played for 3 long years it’s quite natural to fall out of the honeymoon phase and play the game less, and less. Thank you for the things people could learn from your clips, and the entertainment of having an Asuka silly every day. You are the stepping stone of some Asuka’s learning curve, myself included. Thank you for all of the time you’ve sunken into your youtube channel. Have a good one, enjoy the (semi permanent?) break Christian Crabman🦀

MeatGolf2 mentioned! I seriously hope that asuka manages to pull through in the venom patch, I don’t even play him like that but I’m dooming at how much they gutted him. He needs some recompensation or else, because he shouldn’t be struggling against Potemkin. Take it easy boss.

You were my favorite Asuka player and IMO its cool to be a super niche F tier internet celebrity for an extra niche character in an already niche fighting game. Best type of fame literally IYKYK type shit. Regardless it was fun thx for every upload u taught me alot🙏🏽📖 now I just gotta get the crab holding a cross tat

Thanks for being an awesome player, YouTuber and streamer :3 Also yea, I definitely understand how strive isnt fun anymore, asuka nerfs and the game just becoming genuinely more unbalanced, I’m still having some fun with strive but at other times it’s just a nightmare, really feels like everyone’s playing a top tier and you’re just the coughing baby… But anyways thanks for the awesome steaks and everything, and thanks for playing with me that one time on stream! I totally didn’t get washed or anything…

@waitingforzato-1i-noinguil301
It's quite unfortunate that the Asuka community will be losing one of its strongest soldiers, but as stated already, by no means are you obligated to fulfill any expectations we may have regarding your future with GGST/Asuka. That being said, I am honored that the information/translations regarding Asuka were beneficial to you. I also enjoyed talking about Asuka/GGST on YT with you, so thank you for that. Moreover, I believe viewing this situation as an opportunity to show gratitude is one of the most positive ways to look back on this; as I believe every experience - good or bad - is a learning experience that helps us grow as a person. My deepest apologies, I know you did not want any negativity concerning Asuka's season 4 nerfs, but I would like to share something I have not brought up in the GGST High Level Gameplay channel yet - my intention is to give you a bit of vindication - I apologize if it has the opposite effect: You stated that you are washed, but I think you are far from it. Since the beginning of season 4, multiple Asuka users have been losing more than average - sometimes to players you typically 3-0 in season 3 - because the nerfs ASW gave to Asuka amplified his weaknesses - and he also takes way too much damage now once the Mana Barrier is broken. Interestingly enough, Gobou dropped all the way down to the top 10 Asuka in the first time since he's played Asuka competively - Gobou is not playing any worse with Asuka - it's just much easier to lose with Asuka than before, unfortunately. As for the Potemkin/Asuka match-up, Gobou very recently played 1 set against a good Potemkin player who knew how to utilize flick against Asuka well; and despite winning 2-1, Gobou immediately switched to Goldlewis and A.B.A, and played at least 3 sets with each character. I believe that is all that needs to be said regarding the Asuka vs. Potemkin match-up - it's nigh unwinnable for Asuka users at this point. Regarding Asuka/GGST no longer being enjoyable, I am by no means trying to make assumptions here, but I believe being a competitor further intensifies the dissatisfaction with Asuka in his current state - as there is additional pressure placed on you to perform well. Circling back to Gobou, when a stream viewer asked him if season 4 Zato is still in a weak state like in the previous patch, Gobou responded with, "More fun than Asuka" - so due to the nerfs he received, season 3 Zato was more fun to play than season 4 Asuka is - I would like to point out that Gobou declared season 3 Asuka as fun to play, despite being what he referred to as lower mid-tier/bad; that says a lot about season 4 Asuka, honestly... Additionally, the last time Gobou played Asuka during his live broadcast, when a viewer asked about playing Asuka in season 4, Gobou said, "If you don't play against Johnny, Goldlewis, etc, you will enjoy the game;" meaning, if you avoid playing Asuka's bad match-ups - which is more than 50% of the cast, you will have fun with him. That's all I wanted to share with you regarding Gobou's most recent opinion on Asuka, but as you can see, Gobou is also experiencing losing more as Asuka due to the adjustments, while also sharing the same sentiment that Asuka is no longer fun to play (I agree, and this makes me sad)... Last, to avoid ending this post on a negative note, I wanted to thank you for providing us with entertaining Asuka videos daily, the live streams, and tips/match-up knowledge on several characters you've provided during those broadcasts and our YT conversations. I wish you nothing but success in your future endeavors, and your Asuka will live on through the videos posted on your channel. I sincerely apologize for the extremely long post, and if you've made it this far, then I would like to thank you. (If you have the time, please view the link at your earliest convenience. Think of it as a parting gift in a sense) https://ibb.co/WpR56qr (Spolier: It's fan art)

TL:DR I don't enjoy playing Strive/Asuka anymore + I'm washed + I don't have any new clips so I won't be posting anything anytime soon + L + Ratio. Prepare for a long read if this isn't enough for you lol.
Guys I'm ngl I don't have fun playing strive/Asuka anymore, I'll probably still watch it but I'm super washed, I haven't seriously played for a long time and I'm actually losing games on floor 10 lol. I also don't really have any new clips of new game play so probably don't expect any clips anytime soon. It was super fun while I was doing it though, and I really appreciate everyone chiming in with comments on my videos/streams/posts, it's nice to be a super niche F tier internet celebrity lol. I do read every single comment but I need to go and reply to the last bunch, I haven't done that for a while. I kind of feel like I'm putting that off in the same way one would delay watching the finale of a show, as to not end a good thing yet. I might come back, but that's super unlikely. I might still play the game every now and then but I doubt I'll be super active on this channel so rip. And sorry about blue balling everyone with my guide, I still do have that mostly typed up and I'm probably just gonna somehow upload that document if anyone wants it, I don't have the effort/willpower/motivation to make that into a video lol.
Anyways I wanna shout out a few cool people I've met through this funny fighting game:
SkylarOVA: She's the GOAT, and is arguably the main reason I ever got good at this game. Here's the story: This happened near the release of strive, with it being my first ever fighting game. Last round, if I lost it's back to floor 10, but if I win, I get celestial for the 1st time. She hit me with charged dust, and I slumped back in my chair, until I saw she weren't doing a combo. Then she just let me smack her after landing, letting me into celestial. I was sick of bouncing between floor 10 and the celestial challenge so if I lost that I probably would've dropped strive and went back to grinding Apex legends lol. Then we traded discords and have been chatting ever since then. Then she was telling me about CEO and encouraged me to go, and I eventually did. She helped me by letting me stay in her hotel room (along with 4 other people) and even brought an air mattress for me to sleep on since I wasn't super comfterble with the idea of sharing a hotel bed with someone I didn't know at the time lol. She lended me her controller adapter so I could get 25th at my first irl major. And she drove us around and was able to drop me off at the spot where could catch a bus back to the airport. She's the GOAT for sure.
Void Room: He actually made the crab art that is on my most recent stream, that was super cool of him to offer to me. I've always enjoyed chatting about Asuka/music/whatever comes up. Now he post more clips than me so he's basically my spiritual successor lol.
Heruestic Girl (aka Asuka Girl aka waitingforzato-1i-noinguil301, she's the one that does the super long comments on and Asuka video on the high level gameplay channel): I don't think there's a person out there who knows more about what the top Asuka players are thinking, better than Asuka girl. She's always writing super interesting comments on the high level gameplay channel and it's always been nice to see one of her comments on my videos/streams. She's the only reason I know about the shadow nerfs Asuka got this season (if you're really curious about thay you can go to her channel, on the video called "She has an Axl?" And find the super long chain of comments we had. Be ready to read for a while lol.
skel0: I meet skel0 irl at CEO during friendlies (or casuals? I can never remember the fgc appropriate version lol) and he actually recognized my tag so that was really cool. Iirc he was from Argentina (or maybe Venezuela sorry skel0) so technically I have worldwide recognition! Anyways it was cool to play friendlies with him throughout all of CEO and it was really fun to talk about the absurd Sol stuff I've labbed just for fun, with someone who is just as passionate about that.
Eve/asukashousewife on twitter: so far she is the only friend I've made through twitter, I try to avoid that website and interactions on there as much as I can but she DMd me and declared me her "oomfie". Anyways, it was always fun chatting about recent tournaments/Asuka placements and she showed me that maybe everyone on Twitter aren't soulless monsters that just argue for fun lol.
Domi: I haven't interacted with Domi a bunch but I believe he probably has some of the best strive videos out there (might be tied with lordknight but personally I prefer Domis interviews/videos). Though I'm biased since he had me on to talk about Asuka, which I'm still very grateful for, and I'm glad he gave me that opportunity. I think I did Asuka justice for that video. Hope he keeps up the banger content. Plus the Lois pfp is so based GO PLAY METAPHORE REFANTAZIO IF YOU LIKE JRPGS it's literally persona 5 but better in every way but music (this is coming from a persona 5 DIEHARD fan trust me)
UPGRAYDEDD: I met him in tower and after we tried to have a conversation through the tower messaging system we just traded discords. He plays Pot and we talked about the MU a lot, and it was really cool to see him get better at the MU as we played more and more. Turns out he injured his hand/fingers in a boxing fight so he has a very unorthodox controller scheme and was unable to do certain techniques like jumpscare potemkin buster. Lemme tell you, when he finally hit me with one of those, it felt like I was seeing something forbidden, it was so cool to see. Plus he tells really good stories, just a cool dude overall.
Daimond: I also met Daimond irl at CEO, after I beat him 3-0 in bracket (he plays I-no fyi) he asked me for MU help, and he was super receptive to help and was super willing to learn. It was super cool to see him improve in the MU as we played more throughout the tournament.
Also shout out to more people I haven't interacted with as much, but still found really cool: ChocoChips, Worth, KURI, Jembo, Ordinary Magician, MeatGolf2, Mixyous, KingAfrica, SolarisXT, and Lurry, especially Lurry. Really enjoyed chatting/interacting with all of y'all.
And last but DEFINITELY not least, the people that frequently commented on my videos/posts/livestreams. Off of the top of my head, I can name blueeggs (tp), AJ popcorn something (with their pfp being sol on a yellow background), Ben, noola gaming, milkgore, Dea (then random letters/numbers), colboy, faith, theambassador, zikradvd, Alexander Something (I see him only in livestreams iirc) professorgames, protodot, and some more I can't remember rn. I will be honest, some of the names I had to check again just to make sure I spelt them right, but I'd recognize all of these mostly from the pfp and not the tag lol.
As I'm writing this it's the night of Thanksgiving, so I think that's what made me reflect and really think about what I'm thankful for. I'm thankful for you guys interacting with my channel in any way, be it through watching, sharing, commenting or liking. I'm sorry that sounds so engagement bait-y but it's true, I'm genuinely happy other people enjoyed the wacky Asuka clips/moments as much as I do.
Idk how to end this so here's some fun data points for all the number nerds out there: my channel has accumulated:
415,329 total views
5,044.1 hours of watch time
595 subs (you could've figured this one out lol)
And 0$ in revenue lol, I never expected to see any money from this channel so that's to be expected. However, here's how much money I've earned from playing strive.
200+15+50+30+20+25+5
For a total of 345 dollars. That's a lot more than I thought I'm ngl!!! But when you consider how long I've been playing this game (On the PS5/PS4 version of strive alone 1,673 hours and 2 minutes according to my R code, so maybe an extra 40-60 hours from my PC version) that comes out to about 20 cents an hour. That's way more than I make playing other video games lol! And considering I bought strive on PS4 (60$) plus season one dlc pass (20$ iirc?), Asuka (7$ iirc?), blazing edition of strive on PC (80$ on sale), plus the plane ticket for flying to CEO, plus the cost of buying food while there... I don't think I ended with a net positive lol.
ALL OF THAT YAPPING TO SAY.... thank you genuinely if you read this far. You're the kind of person I've been uploading daily clips for, and the type of person that motivated me to be better at the video game so my streams can be better. Thank you, and I hope all of you had a happy Thanksgiving! Thanks for everything and I will still be lurking in the community, probably.
