Dog nutters are selfish and expect everybody else to put up with their stupid dog's incessant barking, yet it's dog nutters that cry the loudest about fireworks displays scaring their stupid dogs.

I can't wear earplugs all the time because I actually have to be able to hear what's going on around me. Hearing impairment is considered a disability for a reason. Why am I going to handicap myself so some shit ass dog can bark all day? Nutters can't conceive of anyone needing ears for anything if they don't want to hear barking.

Many people can't wear earplugs, because they have infants they got to listen for at night. Nutters always have horrible ideas!

What's their plan for the morning alarm? Wake up early to take them out so you can hear it?

'Just' wearing earplugs is not a viable solution when dogs are so stupid that they will bark 24/7 at nothing. Every human is entitled to peace and quiet in their own home, not to have that peace shattered by a noise that is designed to be threatening, aggressive and anxiety-provoking. Want to have a conversation with anyone else in the house? Well, too bad because you're stuck with earplugs. Want to listen to a relaxing podcast or watch a dialogue-heavy show? Too fucking bad; they're too quiet to mask the disgusting mutt's yapping no matter how good your headphones are. The only thing that drowns it out entirely is music cranked up so loud that you're liable to damage your eardrums or give yourself tinitus. Noise disturbance is considered antisocial behaviour for a reason. There are laws against it for a reason. Barking can destroy a person's mental health to the point of suicidal ideation, all for the sake of a dumb, repulsive fleabag with no redeeming qualities. Allowing them to bark incessantly is the ultimate in selfishness, and there is absolutely no excuse for it. 'Just' wear earplugs? How about you 'just' get rid of the mutt instead of inflicting it upon everyone else. When a human neighbour makes an unreasonable level of noise, everyone acknowledges they're in the wrong, and dogs should be no different. Barking isn't an instrinsic part of their existence, it isn't talking, it isn't a 'right.' Live and let live only applies when your actions aren't ruining/impacting someone else's life, and for that reason alone any dog that causes distress through its barking should be instantly euthanized.

Can you delete this post I’m just trying to give advice because for a lot of people they can not force their neighbors to move or move away so they need to wear ear plugs especially if they have the fear of dogs or get headaches (I have the fear of dogs and get headaches a lot)

Also btw noise is to communicate not aggression like my neighbors kids would scream because they were playing

You're starting to get on my last nerve, dog nutter [name redacted].
“Just wear earplugs, stupid” is dismissive and insensitive BS as it places the burden of managing a noise problem entirely on the person being disturbed, rather than addressing THE SOURCE of the noise or acknowledging the full complexity of the situation.
1) No, wearing earplugs or noise-cancelling headphones won't solve the problem of barking dogs, bc dogs will still bark and not everyone has or uses earplugs anyway.
2) No, bc barks often bark all throughout the day and you can't reasonably expect people to wear earplugs 24/7
3) It doesn't even drown out or fully muffle the sound of barking, you a--hat.
4) I'm also talking about barking in general and how menacing and abrasive and out of place it is, not just as a noise disturbance.
4a. Barking is also evidence of the domestic dog's mindless mutant aggression.
5) In essence, this shifts the responsibility and blames the victim, implying that the disturbed person's discomfort is a personal failing that can be easily fixed with a simple accessory, rather than a legitimate problem caused by someone else's inconsiderate behavior, or the actions of a worthless barkbag.
6) It ignores the source: It avoids asking the person making the noise to be more considerate (e.g., lower the volume, move elsewhere, use their own headphones, train their dog or not have one), thus enabling their disruptive behavior to continue.
7) It also overlooks practical and health concerns (some may not be able to use earplugs or headsets, or take allergy meds etc)
8) It minimizes the very real feelings of others, and disregards their right to comfort.
9) Saying this crap also invalidates needs: It sends a message that the disturbed person's need for quiet and peace is less important than the dog's inferior desire to make a completely pointless and needless fucking noise. And that is not acceptable.
