I reckon first thing I'd do is celebrate my purchase in a relaxing hammock with some wine, then I'd find a reputable engineer to inspect the property to see exactly what I'll need to get the place back into proper living condition. Then I'd layout my renovation plans.

I'm afraid I wouldn't be able to cope with such a project and would have to buy a property that's already renovated. Your courage and positivity is inspiring.

Sorry i hit that by mistake but you have taken yours back to a basic shell where everything will be new and you clearly have a plan so its a combination of the two 😊

Assess, imagine and plan. Then head to Leroy Merlin’s (see, I have been paying attention) and fall in love with all the beautiful tiles. Antique shopping would also be a must. As I’m a bit decrepit, contractors would have to do most of the hard work, but I’d have a ball with the painting, decorating and garden design. Unfortunately, I haven’t won the lottery this week, but I have high hopes for next😂

I’d definitely be panicking. I’m in my 70s and would be wondering if I was losing my marbles if I bought a renovation project anywhere 😂. Brave at any age though. Well done you
