As a pilot program, we are currently listing a few Elitebooks on eBay to ship internationally. This picture is what the shipping is going to cost you. And yes, it's ridiculous, which is EXACTLY why we don't offer this service.
But I'm doing this to simply PROVE it so I can just copy and paste this post to the hundreds of people that don't understand economics but still DM me and comment about how I'm a bad person because I don't ship to their country where the import fees cost 90x the laptop.
We are using eBay shipping options because it handles all the Customs BS for us and clears us of liability if something goes wrong in transit, BUT it takes 13.6% of the final sale price, which, even accounting for "free labor" (me) to refurbish each device, puts us at a net loss for each laptop sold here.
So for everyone bugging me in the comments to ship to your country, here's your chance.
If it doesn't workout and these end up sitting, we're going to ditch International Shipping entirely. If it does work and people actually purchase these, we will be putting up more laptops going forward.
Either way, it's worth a try to get some good laptops in the hands of people that need them.
