LAPTOPS AVAILABLE FOR INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS:

www.ebay.com/itm/127016178309

As a pilot program, we are currently listing a few Elitebooks on eBay to ship internationally.
This picture is what the shipping is going to cost you.
And yes, it's ridiculous, which is EXACTLY why we don't offer this service.

But I'm doing this to simply PROVE it so I can just copy and paste this post to the hundreds of people that don't understand economics but still DM me and comment about how I'm a bad person because I don't ship to their country where the import fees cost 90x the laptop.

We are using eBay shipping options because it handles all the Customs BS for us and clears us of liability if something goes wrong in transit, BUT it takes 13.6% of the final sale price, which, even accounting for "free labor" (me) to refurbish each device, puts us at a net loss for each laptop sold here.

So for everyone bugging me in the comments to ship to your country, here's your chance.

If it doesn't workout and these end up sitting, we're going to ditch International Shipping entirely.
If it does work and people actually purchase these, we will be putting up more laptops going forward.

Either way, it's worth a try to get some good laptops in the hands of people that need them.

Funnily enough, those elitebooks with 128 dollar shippinh are still cheaper than the normal price i for elitebooks in my country. If i hadn't bought a new laptop a fee weeks ago this would've been a nice deal

If I buy these "refurbished" laptops from your shed. Does it comes pre installed with terabytes worth of "Homework", "Squidward's poetry" and Porkemons?! 😆

Having tried to send refurbished ThinkPads from the UK to friends in the USA I already knew this but good to get it spelled out. The postage on that listing showed for me as "only" $50 but that's before UK customs slaps an arbitrary extra charge on some new tariff springs up because the Oval office is fucking around with international trade and finding out. Oh and if you disclose the item you are shipping has a lithium ion battery the price goes from extortionate to most carriers flat out refusing to take the package at all. Also in much of the world you can buy a similar or higher spec machine for just as cheap from a local reseller, still ex-corporate and refurbished to a similar standard. For this price on UK ebay you can get an 8th gen intel version of this laptop with twice as many cores for the same cost.

This is... actually an informative post! I don't need the laptop (and I'm not making a post requesting Indonesian shipping), but your post actually explains why you don't ship internationally (normally) pretty well!

International shipping is why I buy so little from the US. I just bought a bluray of an anime series on eBay from a seller in Texas, and the shipping and taxes and customs fees cost more than the item. Companies can offer free shipping from New York to California, but will charge $50 to ship from New York to Toronto. It's maddening.
