Your reason for not doing this before makes total sense same logic applies to my phone reselling in Australia, can’t be arsed dealing with customs and fees

This is... actually an informative post! I don't need the laptop (and I'm not making a post requesting Indonesian shipping), but your post actually explains why you don't ship internationally (normally) pretty well!

Having tried to send refurbished ThinkPads from the UK to friends in the USA I already knew this but good to get it spelled out. The postage on that listing showed for me as "only" $50 but that's before UK customs slaps an arbitrary extra charge on some new tariff springs up because the Oval office is fucking around with international trade and finding out. Oh and if you disclose the item you are shipping has a lithium ion battery the price goes from extortionate to most carriers flat out refusing to take the package at all. Also in much of the world you can buy a similar or higher spec machine for just as cheap from a local reseller, still ex-corporate and refurbished to a similar standard. For this price on UK ebay you can get an 8th gen intel version of this laptop with twice as many cores for the same cost.

Funnily enough, those elitebooks with 128 dollar shippinh are still cheaper than the normal price i for elitebooks in my country. If i hadn't bought a new laptop a fee weeks ago this would've been a nice deal

If I buy these "refurbished" laptops from your shed. Does it comes pre installed with terabytes worth of "Homework", "Squidward's poetry" and Porkemons?! 😆

Hey, the import fees may be hefty in Argentina, but they are actually kinda affordable. A laptop here costs between 600k and 1.5M, which kinda translates to 500 and 1200 dollars

And y'know what, some folks just need to learn the absolute hardest ways imaginable. You can have ALL the facts, figures, and everything else laid out plain as day in their faces...and any actual understanding will still fly over their heads like K.I.T.T. doin' a Turbo Boost in Knight Rider.

So Salem, and anyone out there who could help me... What laptop (or PC) would be able to run decently high RAM, CPU, GPU Power, and high FPS demanding Roblox games at max graphics settings...? (my preference budget is under 1k, and yes I know how depressing it is to find good budget laptops and PC's... Just hoping somebody knows a good budget one) I play a cool older game called Islands and it released 2020, stopped updates Halloween 2023 and used the same complicated messy laggy code for 3 years since the devs couldn't change it. And ever since it stopped updating everything had gone downhill, loading the game is depression, I need minimum graphics settings, closing all other programs and praying for my laptop to not overheat and that still fails. So 1. plez help meh And 2. Pray for my laptop 💀

LAPTOPS AVAILABLE FOR INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS:
www.ebay.com/itm/127016178309
As a pilot program, we are currently listing a few Elitebooks on eBay to ship internationally.
This picture is what the shipping is going to cost you.
And yes, it's ridiculous, which is EXACTLY why we don't offer this service.
But I'm doing this to simply PROVE it so I can just copy and paste this post to the hundreds of people that don't understand economics but still DM me and comment about how I'm a bad person because I don't ship to their country where the import fees cost 90x the laptop.
We are using eBay shipping options because it handles all the Customs BS for us and clears us of liability if something goes wrong in transit, BUT it takes 13.6% of the final sale price, which, even accounting for "free labor" (me) to refurbish each device, puts us at a net loss for each laptop sold here.
So for everyone bugging me in the comments to ship to your country, here's your chance.
If it doesn't workout and these end up sitting, we're going to ditch International Shipping entirely.
If it does work and people actually purchase these, we will be putting up more laptops going forward.
Either way, it's worth a try to get some good laptops in the hands of people that need them.
