If Fukuzawa didn’t meet Ranpo the Armed Detective Agency would not exist. This means Dazai would have nowhere to go, meaning he’s either stuck in the PM or doing some sort of vigilante work, Yosano never gets saved by the two and she gets taken in by Mori, Kenji stays at his village, Jun’ichirō and Naomi stay who knows where, and Atsushi would likely die from his own tiger. The detective agency not being formed becomes the catalyst to Dazai not meeting Atsushi, the two literally cannot be mutually exclusive.

If fukuzawa never met ranpo the ADA wouldn't exist, which would probably mean dazai never met atsushi. So the second one would probably affect the plot more. Plus if dazai never met atsushi it would still show their missions and stuff. Meanwhile if ranpo never met fukuzawa, there would be no ada

Good question.. Although i think if Fukuzawa never met Ranpo it wouldn't have been a big deal bc the author would still find ways to bring in an organization or maybe something else to keep atsushi in as a good person.

whatever event happened in the past is usually the one that has a bigger impact. a better question would be dazai and mori meeting vs ranpo and fukuzawa meeting

If fukuzawa never met ranpo because if they didn't meet the Ada wouldn't have existed and dazai wasn't going to meet atsushi either because the Ada didn't existed and he wouldn't have became a detective

If Fukuzawa never met Ranpo, then the armed detective agency would not exist. Dazai would’ve likely stayed in the port mafia having nowhere else to go, and as a result, he never would’ve met Atsushi. So this would affect the story more than if Dazai were to just never have met Atsushi.

Honestly both cause if fukuzawa never met ranpo then perhaps the Ada wouldn't exist and also stuff like rampo saving yosano and if dazai and atsushi never met then atsushi would have starved to death and dazai basically raised atsushi to his feet so that one was Def needed

Probably both, because if Dazai didn't meet Atsushi the whole story will change + if Fukuzawa didn't meet Ranpo he wouldn't be in the Armed Detective Agency, but I would say Dazai meeting Atsushi would definitely effect the whole story

If Ranpo don't met Fukazawa? OK just use the time line events, When they met each other? So everything after this will change, like Mori, maybe he don't enjoy port mafia, or use Yosano in port mafia instead Dazai, maybe Dazai die, or is Save by another person, Oda don't do what he do on past. Dazai don't met Oda and Ango. Well that change more than we can imagine. Dazai don't met Atsushi can change alot too, Port mafia wanna Atsushi and he is desperate, that can make he be captured by mafia and go to Fancis, but Fyodor was trying take him for the book, so yes that change alot, but Fukazawa and Ranpo change more because that is more in the past, that mean more changes consequently.

What if Dazai never met Atsushi would effect the plot more. Dazai is one of the most important character in the show and Atsushi is the main character. Without Dazai, Atsushi wouldn't be in the show at all and there would be no BSD :D

If Odasaku never existed the ADA wouldn't either since he was actually the element that kickstarted that whole thought back when Fukuzawa and Ranpo met. Same for Dazai never leaving mafia and meeting Atsushi.
