I recently bought a Mainstays ceiling fan from Walmart, and it has reversible blades. The metal parts of the fan were spray-painted brass, while the motorshell was spray-painted black. The wooden side of the blades will have the rattan weave embedded into it, while the white side will have some form of "stencilled" design. This allows me to have 2 different looks to the fan just by flipping the blades. This will also replicate a vintage look, which is to my taste.
