I combine the two. I love creators that cover songs I love in new genres, especially when it's something I already liked in another genre and they make it metal.

YT is great for watching videos (old and new) from musicians, both famous as well as those less well known. I am a Sirius/XM subscriber and that is where I generally learn about new bands and musicians. Though some YT channels have also turned me onto musicians I did not know about.

I watch music videos of my favorite artists on YouTube often, but they aren't small creators or covers. For example, Ice Nine Kills released their new video recently and I sought it out and watched it twice already. Rob Zombie set his up as a premiere and promoted through social media and other channels.

I've been listening to music on YT more and more because I'm always on here watching something. I have YT Premium, so it comes with YT Music.

mostly try to use bandcamp or youtube to support the artist directly, but spotify is really convenient. if i wanna find new original music i’ll go see something live locally.

I subscribe to a channel that has 80’s and 90’s local music from my hometown. I’ve never found it anywhere else.

YT provides an open door for someone to put their music up. Like the old days, it's in the hope of getting noticed. I put my originals out there for shits and giggles.

Watched a interesting video from a content creator about music on YouTube (specifically your own music) and with the shut down of the rest of MTVs music channel(yes they still had music channels after Teen Mom);
