My faith has not only saved my life, but it’s brought me places I never would have imagined. Giving my life to Christ has come with a lot of self denial and shedding of old ways, and I wondered who I would be in Him when I took that first step. As a little girl, I dreamt of attending New York fashion week. I’ve always seen fashion as an amazing form of self expression and freedom. I now know that my freedom is in Christ, and I’m so blessed to be able to walk with Jesus into doors that, at times, I didn’t think I would have the strength, discernment, and courage to even look at.
I stopped drinking alcohol in 2023, and thought I couldn’t go out anymore because I wouldn’t be able to rule over the temptation (Genesis 4:7), or that I would easily slip back into my old ways and disappoint the Lord. But His grace is sufficient, and I’m witnessing my own growth in the fruits of the spirit by being able to exercise self control and reflect the character of Christ in spaces that I never thought I would have the discipline to navigate with holiness as a goal. God is good all the time, and Christian R&B is taking #nyfw 🤍 to Him be the glory 🙌🏽
