The time skip (2004-2008) is wasted opportunity to do something bigger

I would have enjoyed more court room. We never see Saul act like Saul once he adopts the persona. Him with clients (like when he visited Walt in his classroom) was always amazing

If Jimmy committed Chuck for psychiatric care like the doctor wanted him to, it would've been the right thing to do. Everyone enabled Chuck and his worsening condition lead to his maladaptive behaviors. Chuck also deserves more sympathy from the fan base, as he is clearly struggling with a severe mental illness---seems to be some kind of OCD-induced psychosis. Not that he is completely without fault, however, severe, untreated mental illnesses tend to lead to self-destructive behaviors and problematic relationships. Without intervention, his thought distortions regarding his brother's connection to his father's death escalated until he wasn't really in control. Yet, the entire time he was struggling, he had supportive and intelligent people around him refusing to get him the help he needed.

I’m not sure how much of a hot take it is, but I just think the final conversation between Mike & Nacho’s dad brings Mike down to a level the fan base has never really been able to cope with well, that being an ego-driven criminal like Walt. Yes, he acknowledges his mistakes and has regrets, but having someone vocalize to him that trying to be the good guy in a criminal underworld still leaves you as a pretty bad guy on the whole. Just always loved that moment of characterization for both parties involved.

I think the whole "Cartel" plot in BCS is by far the worst part of it, Mike is an awesome character but even with him that whole thing is mid af. Most of the characters appear on Breaking Bad so you just know nothing will happen to them, it has the most unrealistic/nonsene moments in the series and in general, the Cartel worked much better in Breaking Bad as this invisible and misterious force that was way bigger than Walter. BCS took the mistery away and left us with cartoon narcos that dont even speak spanish

Seasons 1-3 > Seasons 4-6, though i still love the second half. I never found the lawyer storyline slow or boring, in fact the cartel storyline was often more slow due to being restrained as a prequel. Season 1 in particular was never slow to me. Gus is the worst character in BCS. They gave us Gus but they wanted to keep the mystery of him and not further exploring like Saul and Mike. Gus works as mysterious in BB cus he's an antagonist and doesn't show up as often. But in BCS they have him show up so much more but don't explore him at all. I love the finale and I do think the correct ending is for Jimmy to allow himself to be imprisoned. However its always bothered me how rushed his redemption is. Having him turn from Saul back to Jimmy over one episode is pretty weak.

I love Jimmy BUT, Chuck is over hated. in the end jimmy, proved him right. Imo, Chuck would not have blocked Saul from the retirement community case if Saul didn't pull off the scam pretending to save that worker's life. But once he saw that slipping jimmy was in fact alive and well, he was more hardcore with his sabotage. That being said, I don't think Chuck was justified in sabotaging Jimmy, but he is a mentally ill man where his mental illness almost completely revolves around his complicated relationship to his brother. A lot of fans say that Saul Goodman was Chuck's creation but that is complete bullshit, as a grown man, Jimmy should have proved Chuck wrong, in the end, it's his choices and insecurities that lead him to become Saul Goodman. All in all, I think Chuck is a very complex character who is guided by his reverence for the law and his complicated relationship to his brother, and despite what he said to Jimmy, there was genuine affection displayed by him throughout the series, and I am sick of people diminishing his character, saying that everything was his fault and he hated his brother.

Bro I missed this, the fly is the reincarnated version of Lalo and Howard

Lalo and Nacho should have had one final confrontation. Lalos death was underwhelming.

The ending was underwhelming frankly. Especially compared to how satisfying the ending to breaking bad was. Because of this, I think bcs is the better show, but the ending holds it back massively.

That it's a masterpiece in some ways even better than breaking bad and that it has some of the best cinematography and direction in tv history,it balances funny schemes with deep character studying and the 4 last episodes are all amazing (yeah nippy to) . Ou and by the way Lalo is a great villain and his conflict with gus in the last 2 seasons I'd very well thought. So my hot take is I love the show so much

The episode Piñata was so bad I stopped watching the series during its original run. The show loses a lot of steam and momentum after Charles dies with parts of season 4 being downright bad.

The season finale final works better as a finally to the series then the final episode of the series does . I alway recommend don’t watch past season 1 , it’s just a run on sentence .

Mike is a great character and acted superbly. However, I feel like he's ridiculously competent at everything (even with suspension of disbelief). That sniper shot of the guy driving for example. Also those guys who tried to jump him would've surrounded him and he would be destroyed. He's not beating five younger guys at once
