History of Everything

Hi guys,

As some of you are aware, I am dealing with an issue of plagiarism on my videos at the moment.

I do believe the person in question may or may not be totally aware that what they are doing is wrong and theft.

I have reached out and kindly asked for the names on the videos to change to explicitly state they are reactions. However, the changes have now led to the videos appearing to be blatantly stolen content and not reactions.

I have followed this up with YouTube and issued a 7 day noticed on one video to take it down as a warning as I do not want to take down the channel as a whole, and I would rather not have to take this further.

Reactions are fine, content theft is not.

That said, I implore you to NOT ABUSE THE PERSON. It is not needed and only will come off and make you and me look like a ass.

Thank you all for looking out for me, I greatly appreciate the care, but I've got this now, and I will do this properly with tact.

@ImportantNavalHistory

I’ve dealt with something similar within the past few months. I had a few Spanish speaking AI channels blatantly stealing my shorts, not adding anything besides translating my lines into Spanish. I did what you did and emailed them, but eventually had to take further action. Not very fun, hope it works out man.

@Ozchuck

I'm gonna make a reaction video to your video where I just say "wow" every 2 minutes.

@zarryis3365

To be clear, the plagiarist is NOT the "history of everything podcast." they made their channels at about the same time, yet were completely unrelated. They both make unique content in similar veins.

@ObsoleteEvil

Stealing content seems to be a running theme in the history genre on YouTube, that and science subjects. Worst part is that these channels leap frog original content creators because of YT busted algorithms.

Perfect attitude, great way to follow through.

And that person? Yeah, you guessed it. Frank Stallone.

@BrotherAlpha

I'm subscribed to a number of YouTube channels that do reviews and they are constantly dealing with copyright crap, even though what they are doing it clearly fair use. How can this happen while people easily steal others content without YouTube lifting a finger?

@Bob-h3l2y

I have a feeling the rise in this phenomenon is because the algorithm pushed some popular "side hustle" influencer videos (all of whom previously sprout the same grift "high pay low effort remote work" or do this google/coursea course or my training plan shit) who recommended blatantly to use google translate or chat gpt to take this content and "translate" for shorts channels

@benallen947

I saw this and it's such a tiny Chanel I figured you would be on top of this. I hope they find their own voice and more success. But I'm not sure why the algorithm dropped it on my feed. Keep up your good work it's amazing informative and entertaining.

@Stellaknot

I think I figured it out the channel. He definitely may or may not know it’s wrong. Seems like a shitty situation to be in and am very happy to see how you are handling it but yea gotta protect your work. Hopefully this is resolved soon, I really enjoy your content. Keep up the great work!

Ok, I will continue to ignore the thief just as before, as I don't know who the are didn't even knew they existed.

Heh one of the popped up on autoplay and I didn't realise as I tend to have them on for audio mostly ( sorry MrVideoEditor) . Didn't notice it wasn't the original... So not really a reaction .. Saw he was in my feed. Removed him since. Didn't see point in reporting.

I did come across this channel, and was like, huh? Yeah, blatant theft. Protect your content, do what you need to do, it’s great stuff. Good luck with it all And hopefully it’s put to bed quickly.

@narrowgroundentertainment

Well, I guess this means you've made it as a YouTube creator? It's like the song I've never actually listened to says, mo' money mo' problems.

There’s been a lot of content theft going on. @Blooms did an expose on a content farm based out of Pakistan if I’m not mistaken.
