Up is an animated movie by Pixar released in 2009. It focuses on a senior citizen who had lost his wife named Carl Fredricksen, who longs to go to a place called Paradise Falls. During the film, he goes on a journey with a boy scout named Russel when his house is lifted into the air by many balloons. He meets a fabled bird species known as a snipe, and Dug, a golden retriever who with the help of a special collar can communicate with people. On his journey he meets his childhood hero Charles Muntz. Despite his initial warm greetings, he ends up turning on them and trying to take the snipe for himself, but fails and ends up falling to his death. The movie ends with Carl's house on top of Paradise Falls.
