Rudiments. Not that I don’t have time to practice them but actually just learning what they are and how to play them properly.

I don’t really “practice”, I just play songs and enjoy myself, and I’m okay with that. It’s my hobby, not a job, and I’ll just do what feels fun.

I only play the drums consistently when it’s time to record 😆, same with bass, but got that guitar and writing ✍️ notebook in hand every day

Not any of these: it’s knowing myself what is wrong and how to improve it. I can usually tell something’s not quite right, but hearing the slight differences between the hands, getting things really smooth, understanding the role of the hand position and the use of the fingers and being really consistent. Foot control is something else I’m learning. What to do to ‘noodle’ or just mess about. A big issue with many of the drum channels is that the videos are really long. Most channels string out a simple concept into a 10 or 15 minute video. I just need to info in a much more ‘punchy’ format so I don’t waste practice time on watching videos and trying to distill what’s of value to me
