To run the robots doing surgery and taking decisions and to navigate through nuances of surgery , you need human brain. Each case is unique. No 2 cases can be exactly identical just like our finger prints.

Replace? I highly doubt it. But take over many roles in the medical community like family doctors, and support all remaining doctors? I'm sure AI will be able to do that much in 5 years
