North Korea recently held its elections. What percentage of the vote did Kim Jong Un's party win by?

"They must've thought that 100% would make people doubt if NK is a fair country, so they made it 99.91% to make it believable"

I think he heard all our laughing at 100% so Kim realized he was being silly😜 99.91% is realisti

What a great leader and man. So many people voted for him. Wish we had someone that great that cared about our country

I’m sure they helped that guy enroll in reeducation camp to get his mind right. A couple decades of backbreaking labor oughta do the trick

Plot twist: Kim Jong Un got wasted on his country's election day and accidentally voted against himself without realizing it!

RIP to those 0.09% who did not vote for him. 😭

@raven11356

It is very modest of him not to give himself 100% of the votes.

I’d suspect they tried to be more convincing by ticking down a few hundredths percentage points… …it was never going to work but, I guess they tried anyway.

@celebrityrog

It’s hard to vote someone else when your ballot has one option and your fingerprint on it to verify who you are.

I would think that there'd be no opposition parties or candidates allowed in a North Korean election.

The fact that the regime didn't just ignore it and put 100% anyway means something. I really doubt that it means a "seismic shift" in N.K. politics/society though.

Must have been the only mail in voter.

Dictators usually state around 90% of the vote because it gives the appearance of freedom of choice.
