Hey y’all, if you didn’t know, Jamaica is supposed to be hit directly by Hurricane Melissa. It’s a Cat 5* (I just posted to members saying Cat 4 lawd help mi Jesus) and the eye is projected to hit where we are. We’ve prepared as much as we can but mi nah lie, I’m rebuking the storm cause ain’t nobody got time for that 😩 Melissa need fi tan ah she yawd!
They’ve officially evacuated some areas and last week some parts of Kingston and Portland flooded from just the rain alone. It has rained on and off where I am but no flooding so we’ve just been side eyeing to see what’s really going to happen. 👀
That said, they closed all the schools in Jamaica from last week Thursday so I was here being a teacher as the girls still had school on Thursday & Friday via zoom & WhatsApp so they were given assignments throughout both days and I had to help them with it which is likely to continue over the next little while. Lawd the stress lol I LOATHE HOMEWORK 🤣
Anyway, my prayer is that the storm gets confused and gets lost at sea by the blood of Jesus! She need to use her GPS & turn back to where she came from cause literally nobody sent for her. I will keep y’all as updated as I can over the next few days. They project that Monday into Tuesday will be the worst of it for us southern parishes so keep us in your prayers if you right with the Lord! Heavy on that 🙋🏾♀️
