That's just too funny :) love it! I used to be big in the minidisks. Had a Sony and Sharp portable players and a Sony full size deck for my audio system. The good old days!

The superdisc as Iomega does the work of saving plenty of files, this is a treasure for some brands as well.

That’s so Friggin Cool dude!! I’ve gotta get one just because it’s on VHS. Which was over half of my childhood. Then the other half was DVD. Now it’s BluRay. Well I guess DVD wasn’t really half. It didn’t have near the longevity that VHS had. It was replaced with BluRay pretty fast. Wonder exactly how long that was?… Hmmm… Hey Google…LMAO!!✌🏻

Why? Minidisc was supposed to be a replacement for cassette, an inferior analog format, like VHS.

I received my MD Player for my birthday party at the Salt Lake Hard Rock Cafe Club in 2000 It's still in good form, was a little difficult to find rechargeable replacement battery, and the driver for connecting to my laptop was eventually no longer supported by SONY. I have subsequently bought blanks, TDK imported from Japan. I use LP2 and transfer through an optic connector from my old Sony CD 5 Changer. I have many music collections including a three MD compilation of Hendrix, it's the best. I made a live recording of McCartney, a thank you concert Sirius broadcast for subscribers, I guess it's considered a bootleg. My old Dish tuner had an optical out too, so it's a perfect recording.

This Does Not Compute
Hey everyone! The VHS release of my MiniDisc documentary is now available via Pacific Plaza Records! All-new soundtrack (vaporwave-inspired, of course!), completely re-edited for 4:3, and comes in a sturdy plastic clamshell case! You can pick one up here:

Due to the logistics of VHS duplication, the tape will only be available in NTSC. But if you live in a PAL region, or don't even have a VCR, there's a special bonus! Every order will come with a download for The CRT Experience, a 4K video of the tape as played through a Sony PVM!
