Would love to know more about the impact of WFPB/Vegan diet on lung health, particularly with asthma and COPD especially as rates continue to increase across the globe. Thanks so much for putting this all together!

Mtor activation for muscle synthesis Vs mtor suppression for disease prevention - is this a balance to be struck? Feast and famine... Or is it a tradeoff between health span and absolute life span

Most runners who I know experience knee pain and arthritis in their 50s and switch to cycling or swimming. Can I help to avoid that with anti inflammatory nutrition or is it best to not only focus on running but to incorporate different kinds of endurance exercise early in life to protect your knees?

Do we need to worry about pesticide exposure in non-organic produce, and what are the scientifically backed environmental, worker rights and health, and consumer health benefits, if any, to organic?

Will antioxidants from plant foods blunt the effects of strength or endurance exercise? There's been some evidence suggesting a blunting effect during my time at university nearly a decade ago. Our teacher suggested that free radicals after working out might be necessary for the body's adaptation to exercise. Yet, antioxidants might help to soothe the muscle damage and soreness to increase training frequently. Now what's best - antioxidants directly before or after working out, eat little antioxidants after exercise to improve the training effect or eat lots of them to heal muscle damage quickly? 💪

One more: Dr. Greger recommends staying away from dairy products for optimal health, which the evidence seems to support. But what about kefir? The Mayo clinic recommends kefir for health benefits, so does other literature. Is kefir more recommended than other dairy products or is it just as bad as whole milk and cheese? This seems important to me because many people in my family traditionally enjoy kefir and I'm not certain if they are doing their health a favor or not.

Hi Chris, I have been following Plant Chompers for a while and love your podcast!! This Tedx is awesome, and I am really looking forward to it! I have a question about intermittent fasting on a wfpb diet and exercise. I hear we need to ensure we eat enough on a wfpb diet, but then hear about the benefits of intermittent fasting. If I run 10 km every morning, how do I apply intermittent fasting the day before (and on a regular basis) to ensure I have enough energy for my run and other activities throughout the day (e.g. should i stop eating after 3pm)? I usually only have a glass of water before going out for my run (and drink water along the way). I currently follow the 12 hour window advice, but what do the studies show about fasting and exercise? Thank you!

Is vo2max the best predictor for a long life and really dwarfing any other marker like Dr. Attia says? Or is vo2max more of a result of a healthy lifestyle? Ppl say it's okay to smoke and eat unhealthy if you have a high vo2max but i guess it's much easier to increase your vo2max if you stop smoking and eat healthy. That is important to know. You might chase an increase in vo2max and not quit smoking for example because you would think that vo2max is all that matters without knowing that quitting smoking might contribute greatly to an increase in your athletic abilities.
