@SolaireV

Never pre-order a game is a simple yet crucial thing to do as a gamer/consumer

@dysphoria_1.040

If I were gonna do it I'd do it through your link, but I have learned my lesson on pre-ordering.

@VertFirstQuestion

I look forward to normal-ordering when game comes out finished. I have hope this time they will deliver at launch.

@Jarnsmidr

I love you laith, but absolutely not, I'm going to see a lot of positive reviews before I even consider buying it, let alone pre-order it.

@toddhoward1892

Pre-ordering a game in general is foolish, but doing so when the studio making the game is notorious for releasing incomplete games requiring expensive DLC for necessary features seems like an even worse proposition no? I'll wait about a week after launch. If the steam reviews are stellar, and the gameplay I see is good, I'll pick it up.

@goldfish8108

My laptop will commit seppuku if I try and play eu5

@wildpikachu9999

No pre-orders, no exceptions.

@Scarelian

The fact Paradox announced 3 major DLC coming to EU5 before the game’s even released has made me lose any remaining faith I had in the company. Spineless.

@giovanniMerendino

paradox is slimy i will atleast wait a year

@jaccoruisch1863

First of, never pre order. Second, I have a potato chip, some pickles in my ram memory, a hamster running my power, and a floppy disk for my data memory, it would burn the house down.

@Slurpaderp9000

VIC 3 is JUST getting good. And eu4 has dozens of DLC and the entire thing costs probably 250. HOI4 is getting progressively worse DLC and it seems they aren’t close to beating that horse to death yet. All 3 require a lot of DLC to even be playable. Pre-Ordering EU5 that already has 3 DLC lined up just doesn’t make sense all things considered.

@wkent02

Im worried it will be dysfunctional on release. Most strategy games recently have been. VIC3, Civ7, hoi4 graveyard of empires, etc. I'll need to see others play it and review it first

@bobsmith7066

Yeah, sorry Laith but Paradox deas have a bit of a record with not releasing actually complete games. I’ll check back about a year after EUV releases and see if it’s actually playable yet.

@Deathshead419

In the olden days pre-ordering made sense as game stores might not stock up enough copies of new releases. There is now literally no reason to not wait and see what the release game is actually like before buying

@armandcossio1854

Stay true, lads, love you Laith, but pre-ordering is not the way to go, especially with Paradox, and their track record of dodgy starts to new titles

1 week ago | 2

@cdobeson

Hard no for me. I’ve sunk a fortune into Paradox titles over the years, including into EU. I’ll just stick with what I’ve got, it works just fine.

@burtreynolds8030

The only way to end their dlc practices is to not pre order and wait for a bundle sale, tank the sales reports lads it’s the only way

1 week ago | 58

@syrion5521

What is even the purpose of preorder, they can't run out of physical copies, because there won't be any.

1 week ago | 8

@mimameta

I'm gonna wait for atleast a year after launch before buying. Probably with the Bz expansion

Since vic3 and the whole predatory model of CK3, i will never give that give that greedy company a dime. If i pay full price, i want full price. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me. Also, i am still salty about Imperator.
