Hello, Yuki! I was calmly scrolling through my phone, like any responsible gossip would, browsing the latest gossip in our universe. Right away, I noticed two curious things. The first is that there are a lot of clever admins out there spreading fake news just to play tricks, like that absurd story about blue voxel chicken, which doesn't even exist! The second is that Jenny sent me another video with a new arcade dance that, I confess, made me want to learn. I admit, I may have watched this dance for too long, because before I knew it, something had happened. Was Maxine in the middle of another sneezing fit? I looked around and... hello? Three hearts were floating around me. Three. Not that I know much about arcade games (gossip is my thing, not joysticks), but I'm pretty sure this wasn't a declaration of love... much less good news for me. I looked out the window and, surprisingly, everything still seemed "normal"... or at least normal considering Maxine's recent sneezing. But as soon as I opened the door and took the first step outside... No more streets, houses or squares: I was inside a frightening labyrinth. Everything had transformed into tall walls of pixelated blocks, with textures reminiscent of earth and moss, and then there was the sky... or should I say ceiling? It was bright green and cast a light over the path. I was surrounded by a tight maze, and every step echoed as if I were being watched by something familiar with the terrain. Then I turned, and instead of the front door, I found myself face to face with it. Large, frightening, with a propulsion so fast it seemed to float above the ground: the Virus. Each time it moved, it formed new platforms, shaping the maze to its will; it seemed to create new planes, clouds of contaminated pixels that spread across the sky like a digital storm. Before I could react, one of those fragments passed through me, and I immediately realized the impact: my heart counter dropped from three to two. I didn't need a tutorial to understand that if they all disappeared, something very bad would happen, though I didn't want to find out exactly what. I needed to find Maxine. If anyone knew how to deal with arcade glitches and viruses, it was her. And this time, it wasn't just curiosity or gossip; it was real danger!
XOXO, Gossip Girl (If I don't come back, let Jenny know. She was preparing something for me, and it might be better to cancel.)
