10 years ago today, July 22, 2015, GoAnimate removed the social features (comments, favorites, messages, followers/following) from the website.
This was due to bad behavior amongst users (especially grounded video creators), and it was a big step in GoAnimate shifting its focus to businesses, like it is today.
It caused many GoAnimate users, such as GoLegacy (GML394), to rely on YouTube as their platform for uploading GoAnimate content.
These social features would return on FlashThemes on September 9, 2023.
