It has been said they are very deadly . But you would have to be very unlucky to receive a bite as they are a very solitary snake and like most snakes would rather flee . But if provoked by stupid people who no nothing about snakes ,they will defend themselves and strike . Common sense should tell you to leave well enough alone .
