Sup y’all. Just wanted to put out an update thing on where I’ve been. So biggest and most recent thing, I’m part of the Team Arc Creators program! Woo! Now granted I’m not *entirely* sure what this means for content on here, but we’ll just have to see. Very excited about that.
Secondly, where da videos? Not that I’ve never been one to take a long time between uploads, but this time I have an actual reason. So I scripted a video back in the end of February. I was planning to edit this one myself cause “oh it’ll be quick”. It was about my feelings regarding a Smash 6, and I was intending to get it done before the Switch 2 direct at the beginning of April. Then beginning of March is when I had my dad pass away (I did a community post about that a month or so ago). Obviously, that major life shake up, and also dealing with difficult college classes and other general Life things, I did not have the energy to edit. Was planning on canceling it, and I also didn’t really want to ask my usual editor. I was stressing about cash and was getting in my own head about the whole thing. Anyway, I’m talking about this and through some Shenanigans, a friend of mine online, who I won’t name here because it really wasn’t their fault, offers to edit the video for me. This goes well until like, right up until they’re about to send the video. They go completely AFK for like 2 weeks. Apparently, they also had a big personal tragedy and needed to travel out of the country for an extended period really suddenly. Apparently, the video is done, they just can’t send it over due to horrible internet. At least that’s what I think. They explained everything that happened to me, and then said they would send it soon, and then just, never sent it. Current theory for me is that their internet is just too slow to actually send the full several gigabyte video file. I have no idea. So I’ll be glad to upload that video when I get it! I don’t know when that will be though! I hope it’s soon!
So yeah but also I have just been super stressed with my actual life lately. Making videos is really hard! And expensive! And time consuming! Thank fuck this isn’t my job. I could just put out slop but no that’d be bad for everyone involved. Also unfortunately the Slayer video did, ok, but not really to the extent I was hoping for. I wanna make crazy good stuff, but also my efforts are split so many different ways that it’s hard to feel like I’m moving anywhere at all sometimes.
Also… would you guys be fine with non-Guilty Gear stuff? Non-fighting game stuff maybe? I love Guilty Gear so much, but also I’m human. I already put like 4 different tangents into my videos that aren’t related to the title topic at all. Maybe I have more fun writing a 600 word thing on Oingo Boingo than I would talking about… oh who do I throw under the bus…? Uh. May? Sorry May I don’t really care about you.
Idk. I might make a website or something. That sounds fun. Still doing… some programming and game dev stuff. Maybe. Not really im sorry. Lowkey I think I may have more learning disabilities than I thought I did I’m hoping to get that shit tested soon. I do a lot of planning and logistics and then actually programming execution and putting it all together is the true hard part. I got all the time in the world but it’s scary. I’ve also been doing stuff for the Guilty Gear Wiki still ( guiltygear.wiki.gg !!!)
Anyway, that wraps up my rant. I’m writing this in the middle of what’s supposed to be my study session for finals because I don’t know what I’m doing. Hope y’all have a great day.
