Funny how “lack of knowledge” has the lowest percentage of votes. People often believe they know a lot about a subject they want to pursue or improve, when in reality, they usually don’t. For me, the real obstacle to improving anything is a mix of lack of knowledge and procrastination.

Lack of time definitely. Procrastination isn’t an issue. It’s just making enough time to actually do it

Self doubt. I keep working and studying hard but because I don't see the results I keep doubting myself if I can improve and get a better life. Been struggling for years

Self-Doubt definitely. I couldn't help but doubt if I can become someone better. Probably my genes aren't good enough, maybe my face shape is too bad, my height is average, my brain isn't good enough to learn ..., and so on, so forth. Basically, I'm doubting if I have the gifts and talents for it. And it hurts so much that I cannot change anything about it. Someone out there is born with a genius mind, Hercules body, height of goliath, perfect teeth, all the qualities that coincidentally align with what we as social creatures created: aesthetic standard.

Self-Doubt, Both lack of time and knowledge and procrastination never had those problems I just do things without thinking about it.

Honestly? BS getting in the way. Example: I wanted my provisional license. My passport was expired last couple of years. Despite multiple attempts I could not book an appointment with my embassy. As a last resort I had to buy a plane ticket back to my home country and go to the embassy to request a travel document (they must provide this for you ON the day of travel even if you don't have an appointment). After spending £550 I arrived back in britain 3 days later with a new passport. The gov website for provisional license applications would NOT accept my up to date passport details, however. Im not the only one struggling with this it seems. Forcing me to get obtain a physical application instead. After that I now needed a share code from my UKVI account to prove I qualify for a provisional, but could not log in to my own account. After some digging I finally obtained the correct HMRC number to call. Woman said I couldn't log in as my old passport number was still registered and I hadn't updated it to my new one. She gave me my outdated number so I could finally log in and get the share code. I'm in the process of mailing my application to the DVLA. if anyone was patient enough to read this (prob not 😂) you're a star. I just wanted to exemplify that for some of us we REALLY do want to try but life makes it so fucking hard sometime

Whenever it comes to self improvement there are two obstacles for me time management and procrastination. Just imagine SI without the two it would not be as difficult and fun ad it already is. First BTW.

Being lazy/ lack of discipline. Let's be honest - you can work on yourself with no money involved. You can find time if you want to - I mean we have time to browse yt but not to better ourselves? Lol You can find knowledge if you care to. But you have to really WANT to do that. THAT'S what's the real issue.
