Kyplanet

for a video idea
What exoplanets do you guys think are the most “iconic”
Not ones you find interesting, I mean like which exoplanets are the most well-known

@zacharysilver911

Definitely Proxima Centauri b

@Radiocoded

Kepler 22b

@lukegreen2493

the entire trappist 1 system. All the planets in the system may be uninhabitable but idc, still a really interesting place.

Kepler 22b, of course!

@I.amthatrealJuan

The Gliese 581 planets It was hyped like Trappist 1 before the Trappist 1 system was discovered.

@spookyonyx6

CoRoT 7b, probably one of the few iconic exoplanets that aren't iconic for being "Earth-like", but instead for being turbo Venus LMAO

@UranusIsHere7

Definitely these (most of which you covered many times) but - Kepler 186f - Kepler 452b - Proxima B - Kepler 22b - WASP 12b - j1407b - Trappist 1e - 51 Pegasi b - 55 CanCri e

@AnotherSpaceNerd

Literally any "habitable" exoplanet like Trappist-1e (a wasteland), and Proxima Centauri b (also a wasteland)

@SciSage369

Let’s be real—most people only know Kepler-22b or Proxima b because they’re media darlings. Are they truly iconic, or just overhyped? Which ones do you actually recognize?

@Lobed-Homunculus

WASP-12b and TrES-2b are some pretty iconic exoplanets

@TA_productions21

Kepler-452b Kepler-16b Gliese-436b

@karelian-creations

Surprised not many people mentioned mr. Fomalhaut b (Dagon) the comet collision 😅 Edit: HAT-P-7 b is also one of the more "obscure" iconic exoplanet

@AlfallMap

55 Cancri e is often chatted about bc of the carbon content, HD 100546 b for its size, the TRAPPIST-1 planets, Proxima Centauri b, K2-18b is a recent hot talkpoint, and there's many more.

- Orbitar - Probably Orbitar - Orbitar would be cool - Orbitar - Please do Orbitar! - You should make a video about Orbitar I think it would be pretty cool

@Spanish_Conquistador

J1407b before we realized it wasnt a planet with rings

@OuterSpaceandTimelapses4

Haven’t seen enough people mention the first exoplanet discovered (51 Pegasi b).

@karelian-creations

people always forget that in June 1987 a paper was published about potential exoplanet in the Epsilon Eridani system with a relative mass under 4 jupiters which was later detected in 2000

@Irisss111-z1q

Dimidium/51 pegasi b, Janssen/55 Cancri e, K2-18b, TOI-700 d and e (this one's a bit older not sure if it still counts)
