Their defense is that the victim has since turned 16 years old, which is technically the age of consent in Australia, so that makes it ok. Which is contradictory because in another Discord message, Salty Lily admitted they knew it was wrong.
I think most people can agree that's still fucked up. Even Salty Lily admitted that it technically started when she's 15 (it's been revealed that it actually started when she was 14), and even still, a 21 year old shouldn't be dating a 16 year old.
IMPORTANT UPDATE: NEW PROOF HAS COME OUT. Salty Lily started dating the victim when she was 14 YEARS OLD. This is even worse because the relationship started two years before the age of consent in Australia.
Edit 2: This is the last edit I'll be making to this. Just to clarify. The victim likes to say that the relationship didn't start until a month before she turned 16, but that's when they "officially" starting dating. It's more like the relationship started when she was 14. This situation is pretty messy, so sorry if this is a confusing read.
I originally wasn't going to make a post about this because Salty Lily hid her channel. However, she's now come back and has disabled comments on her channel. The goofy part is that she plans on sweeping this under the rug and eventually coming back.
I genuinely don't know what she expects??? The majority of people who knew her well online already know about this. Does she expect people to forgive her??? To most people, this type of thing is unforgivable. This will plague her channel and her reputation for the rest of her online career unless she completely abandons her channel and goes under a new alias.
I want to mention another thing. That is that the victim of this is genuinely unhinged. She has harrased people who wanted to expose Salty Lily. She's also threatened to dox people as well. Another thing she done is that she's made comments on YouTube trying to defend Salty Lily, but the funny thing is that she never goes into detail about why people are calling her a groomer. Because she knows that most people would think the same thing.
She is determined to have this entire thing be forgotten about, but this is one of those things that will always be remembered for as long as Salty Lily is in the community.
