Maybe the sand imps are a swarm that act like one of those creatures you mentioned. So they link up together

Though I am partial to Shai-Hulud, and who doesn’t love a land shark, I had to vote sand people. Wait a minute, which sci-fi universe is this in? 🤔

Tbh Sand Fleas could do some irl psychic damage if you describe it well enough

My players are fighting against a boss for the next session, and as epic as it is becoming, it's only chapter boss. The design is to let them use all their resources and win by the skin of their teeth. Then they realize they need more power, train, and the next one is even stronger.

Maybe it's just me, but a "hard" encounter sounds more entertaining and memorable; then again i'm really into DarkSouls and similar Games and prefer fewer, but challenging encounters

Though smoking camel cigarettes undoubtably worsened the health of a sand wyrm, I still vote for it. I´d like to see a TPK and player´s hopes and dreams crushed before the very eyes of the audience.

How to be a Great GM
For The Sands of Hope game I'll be running tomorrow night, I'd like a few suggestions on upgrading a simple sand imp (attacks in sandstorms) to something more interesting. Make your choice and begin to shape the game before it's begun! Easy means they won't struggle too much, moderate means they will hurt, and tough means they will really hurt. Insane is a measure of your personal state of a mind as it might just kill a PC or two...or three..
