Skeletons have more fun because nothing can get on their nerves anymore.

@56safety

You have to be turned into a zombie or vampire by the actions of someone or something else, but we are all already skeletons deep down.

@DavidRichardson153

It's easier to have fun when you no longer have any skin in the game.

@Splox5

It's the freedom that comes from not having any bodily needs that makes them so lively.

Ah, yes. The trousel of bones.

@Hatzmcdoof

As a skeleton myself, it is because we only get one night to have fun. Oh and we're walking xylophones.

It's hard to take yourself seriously when you're essentially a big ol' xylophone. Or so the cartoons tell me.

While not Halloween, I find it interesting how skeletons are associated with jollier aspects of death - Día de Muertos have lots of skeletal decorations, and catrinas and catrines (which started as a satirical drawings by José Guadalupe Posada).

Based on title alone, this sounds like the Halloween video my favorite Magic: The Gathering channel put out a year or two ago that was all about skeletons in MTG and their pop culture (and regular culture) inspirations that tend to range from deliberately goofy to trying-and-failing to be scary. I can't wait for an even broader look at animated skeletons!

@sinisternorimaki

Oof, there's to many puns in that video. You deserve a pun-ishment.
