In light of RFK Jr.'s Autism Study, Autistic Patients Should Know:
1. Insurance carriers who receive claims for services can request records and can see some, if not all diagnostic codes for the patient. 2. Individuals can call their insurance carriers to ask how their privacy is protected in the event of government request for protected health information. 3. If needed, individuals who do not want diagnostic information available to their insurance carriers can elect to engage in private pay services.
