Who remembers Sony’s Weird Gaming TV?

Anyone? Probably not because they were an awful idea, but they look pretty cool.

Coming this week. (I had to drive 130 miles for this)

This is what led to Android TVs being a thing, IMO. The concept is kinda similar, just the purpose differs - gaming, or now - streaming/TV/cable/display for other devices.

looks like my vista era vaio aio with the built in tv tuner board. fragile plastics and a hdd buried deep.under a cast metal housing. had a core duo and can take up to a core2duo with lower fsb. down fall was a combo of bad backlight and dieing soldered nvidia gpu. it did run gta san andreas very well, though.

Back when everybody thought this thing called "convergence" would marry TV and PC, and they were all trying to figure out how to make it affordable. TVs were cheap. PCs were not. Gateway spent a fortune on this idea. The solution to the problem was NOT marrying those devices. It was get Roku box or later a Fire stick, Nvidia Shield, ONN box, etc. Or a modern game console. The whole idea of having a full blown PC in the TV was a bad joke and nobody laughed.
