Who was your first ancestor to be born in the 20th century?

Mine is my paternal grandfather Simon Goldberg, who was born either 1901, 1902, or 1903, but we've never actually located his birth certificate.

My maternal grandmother was born in 1904. In her youth she lived through the hardships of WW1, always on the brink of starvation, in her late 30ies WW2 broke out. More terrible hardships were thrown at her. She finally came to a village where her cousin lived and earned her keep by working the fields and garden, cooking, and assisted in making survival after the war possible. In her last 11 years of her life she was taken care of in the family. She died peacefully in 1996.

On my grandma's side, it's six or so generations straight of people having kids in their late teens/early 20s. My great-great-grandpa was born November 7th, 1906. I had a great-granduncle who was born January 4, 1900, so he would be my first close relative born in the 20th century.

My maternal grandfather was born in London back in 1909. One of my paternal great grandmothers came close to being the first though, she was born in 1899 in Ukraine.

That'd be my paternal grandfather born in 1922. All great-grandparents born in 19th century, the last one in November 1900.

On my paternal side, it’s all four grandparents. They emigrated from Eastern Europe in the mid-late 19th century. On my maternal side we’ve been here since the early 18th century.

My maternal great-grandmother, she was born in 1904. Her husband, my great-grandfather, was my last (direct) ancestor born in the 19th century (1899). All my other great-grandparents were born between 1907 & 1919. My “youngest” great-great-grandparent was a grandmother, born in 1896.

For me, it would have to be two siblings of my maternal grandparents. My grandmother who was born in 1914 had a sister born in 1901. My grandfather who was born in 1909 had a brother born in 1904.
