I like bits and pieces from both the original and the Jonny Depp version but the newer one does get context too the first one, (so all three have parts in it I think better than the other and vice versa)

Original, the important one is the oompa loompas, the og actually looks like small people, johnny Depp's is just African American, I love the orange one The Wonka one, eh Kinda, Doesn't look like a small dude looks like a 45 year old man
